This is a report on the final show of the tour, which consisted of three shows, held at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL on Monday, September 16th (national holiday).
When the show started, music began to play in the venue. The heartbeat of something being born… As the opening number of their second album “radii”, “BiRTH -ii’m here ver.-“, played as the overture to the live performance, harmoe stood in front of the screen on which the scenery was being projected. When the light was lit up, the figures of Iwata Hiyori and Koizumi Moeka, clad in blue and green dresses, respectively, came into view. The first song was “Love is a potion”. As they swayed in their fluffy dresses, they clasped their hands together, jumped, and made hearts with their fingers to express the world of the song. The harmony between the two was also pleasant.
After announcing, “Everyone, welcome to harmoe’s live show!” and “Are you ready to sing!”, eight dancers appeared and performed a lively “Colorful x Joyful”. While performing with dancers dressed in colorful loungewear-style costumes, they enjoyed a call-and-response with the fans, and then continued with the pop number “Okey◎Dokey!”. The number of dancers increased to seven, and they performed a dance inspired by the seven dwarfs from “Snow White”, and the movements that matched the lyrics made it feel like you were watching a musical.
Next, the four dancers and the exchange between Himawari and Moeka are fun for “twin’s heart beat”. When everyone shouts the spell-like “＼Mezameyo! Atashira Saikyo no Twins Her! ／”, it feels like the venue is overflowing with great power. At the end, the two of them sing “Lalala…” together, and the two strongest people leave the stage for a while.
After the interlude “SiGNAL”, harmoe appeared in matching red dresses, surrounded by white light, and performed the jazzy “My Secret” with her dancers. The two sang serious voices to a sound with a strong rhythm. They moved seamlessly to “Night before”, this time expressing “passion” with passionate singing and dancing. They then moved on to “Anti-Client” without a break, dragging the audience into the world of villains in one go. In this song, the expressiveness of the two, including their facial expressions, was captivating, and their performance with the eight dancers was spectacular.
With the music still lingering, the dancers performed coolly to the dance track “Loud, Painful, Bitter.” As the audience clapped along, harmoe appeared on stage, this time in a suit-like outfit with a collar. From this point on, he expressed a dark worldview.
“All of Me” is a song with the theme of “paranoia”. The two of them take turns singing, but the performance was wonderful, using the stairs on the left and right of the stage set to sing under the spotlight. The two of them sing the same melody with sorrowful emotions, and their expressiveness is incredible. The two of them sing in different places, but at the very end they stand next to each other, and just watching their expressions at that moment was thrilling. In addition, “QUEEN”, which is based on the motif of the Queen of Hearts from “Alice in Wonderland”, they enter the world of the song, sing intensely, and act out their lonely feelings. The low vocals that hit them were also powerful. In a complete change, “wait for you” captivates with the harmony and dance of the two. Then, amid the sound of waves, the dancers and harmoe performed “Make a pearl”. Here, the smoke that filled the venue was illuminated with laser beams, creating a fantastic world. The two of them sang with a stylish sound and plenty of nuance, and while it made me sad, my heart seemed to be filled.
The mood then changed completely to “Fuwa Fuwa Party Tsurete Happy,” which was inspired by Winnie the Pooh. The costumes of the six dancers were colorful and fairy-tale-like. It was as if they had wandered into a fairy-tale world. As the applause rang out, they performed the catchy song with a comical twist. There was a round light floating above the stage, which was also adorable as it rose and fell in time with the song. They then moved on to “Honey Drop,” which was also inspired by Winnie the Pooh. This straightforward and bright song drew even louder applause, and at the end, everyone was waving their hands from side to side, creating a happy world.
感情が忙しかった6曲を一気に駆け抜けると、インタールード「i」に乗せ、「愛」についての朗読が流れる。
センターに用意されたひとり分のお立ち台。そこに白い衣装をまとった陽葵が立ち、萌香は腰掛けながら“無償”の愛を歌った「愛と呼ぶなら」を、透き通った歌声で、時に感情的になりながら歌う。お立ち台を降りて横並びになり、最後は2人で腰掛け肩を寄せ合い、モチーフとなった『幸福な王子』の世界を描いていった。
息を飲むようなパフォーマンスのあとは「セピアの虹」へ。スクリーンに映し出された2人がセピア色になっていて、そこに虹の色が差し込まれていくスクリーン演出と、ステージ上では、白い光に包まれながら〈君が隣で笑ってくれるから どんなことだって 輝き出すよ〉と歌う2人の姿が印象的だった。最後は虹色に光る階段を登って曲を終えると、“Where am ii？”というメッセージが映し出される。続いて、「セピアの虹」と同じく『オズの魔法使い』をモチーフにした「Dorothy」。ここでは“自己”への愛を、真っ直ぐに力強く歌っていく。歌詞にある〈銀色の靴〉を実際に履いて、マントをはためかせながら歌っている姿も、途中、会場を紙吹雪が舞う景色も美しかった。
異国感漂うインタールード「RiSE」で、2つの「i」は、宇宙へと飛び出していき、ついに「愛」は神となる。そして、本編ラストに歌ったのは、「HyperLoveSong」。最高にカッコいいビートにノッて、2人で激しくダンスをしながら歌い、会場を盛り上げていく。MCなしで、あらゆる「愛」を表現してきた2人による自信に満ち溢れたパフォーマンス。最後の決めで2人で並んだシルエットが、スクリーンに映し出されたツアータイトルの“ii”の2文字と重なる。そして『ii’m here』というロゴと共に本編を終えた。
「愛」はここにある、私たちはここにいる、私はここにいる……さまざまな意味を内包していたツアータイトル。確かに、このステージには「i」も「愛」もすべてが存在していた。
ミュージカルのような本編のあとのカーテンコールのようなアンコール。ここでは「キュリオシティ・パレット」を笑顔で歌い、いつも2人を支えているメインダンサー、花菜＆Kaoriと4人で「ふたりピノキオ」を披露。息の合った4人の安心感すら漂うパフォーマンスだった。
ライブも最後の1曲になり、この日初めてのMCへ。「みなさんも、愛は見つけられたでしょうか？」と萌香が、そして「私たちの愛、届きましたか？」と陽葵が聞くと、大きな歓声が返ってくる。ここで、初日から人数が増えて8人になったダンサーを紹介。「本当にいつもありがとう！」「I Love You」と感謝を伝えると、彼女たちの要望通りにペンライトでライブを彩ってくれたファンにも、ありがとうを伝えていく。
「3公演、あっという間だったんですけど、どの公演も一瞬で尊くて。みんなとかけがえのない時間を過ごさせていただきました。今回は『愛』という大きなテーマを背負って旅に出たんです。ライブを通して何か見つかるだろうと思ったんですけど、正直、『愛』とは何なのか、今も答えはわからないです。でも、このツアータイトル『ii’m here』という言葉が全てなんだなって思ったんです。こうしてみんなが元気にここにいてくれることが、ものすごく愛だなって。この1年間、元気でいることって当たり前じゃないし、すごく難しいことなんだなと思う機会が、私たちには多かったんです。悔しい思いをすることが多い1年でもあったので、今回のツアーで、誰ひとり欠けることなく、このライブを届けられたことが、すごく尊い瞬間だったと思いました。みんなに元気でいてほしいし、もし力がないなってときは、いつでもここに来てください。harmoeには『愛』があります。みんなにたくさんの『愛』を精一杯届けますので、これからも私たちと一緒にいてください！」と陽葵が伝える。
続けて萌香が「2ndアルバム制作時から『愛』を考え続け、このツアーを経て何か見つかればいいなって、ふわっとした感じで過ごしていたんです。でも、『愛』とは何だっていう答えって一生見つからないと思うんです。だから愛とは何かではなくて、愛は常にそこにあるものなんですよね。『愛』とは？って考えながら過ごしていたから、ライブを支えてくれるスタッフさんの行動が『愛』だと思ったし、みんながこうやって足を運んで会いに来てくれることも『愛』なんだなって、改めて気づけたんです。いろいろな予定がある中で、この日に合わせて私たちに会いに来てくれる人がこんなにたくさんいるんだなって思えば思うほど、『愛』ってひとつじゃないし、カラフルだし、とてつもない存在なんだと思いました。ステージに立つこと、生まれてきた意味を、みんなに気づかせてもらえて、幸せだなと思えたツアーでした。皆さんが、harmoeを応援したいと思ってくれたり、ライブのおかげで仕事を頑張れる！って思っていただければ、それがひとつの『愛』になるので、これからも『愛』を一緒に作り上げていきましょう。『愛』はここにありました！ いつでも“会い”に来てください！ 『愛』だけに（照）」と伝え、最後はみんなで笑顔で楽しく「一寸先は光」を歌い、“ii’m here, ii’m LOVE, TiME is Singing —— harmoe”というメッセージを残し、ライブを締めくくった。
改めて振り返り、できればこのライブを一度見たいと思ったところで朗報だ。実は9月29日(日)18時からTOKYO DOME CITY HALL公演のアーカイブ配信が決定した。そして翌日9月30日(月)19時30分からは、このステージを作り上げたスタッフトークの配信も決定。どちらもZAIKOにてチケット販売中なので、ぜひチェックしてほしい。
12月25日（水）『harmoe ファンクラブライブ2024 〜Christmas Acoustic Live〜』を開催。さらにTVアニメ『いずれ最強の錬金術師？』のEDテーマになる、7thシングル「トゥインクル・デイズ」が、2025年1月8日にリリース。今回のモチーフは『ピーター・パン&ウェンディ』とのこと。さまざまな『愛』を表現した彼女たちが、次に何を表現していくのか、楽しみは尽きない。
