A CD containing the opening theme song “Alca” sung by Kashiwagi Hinata will be released on Wednesday, November 13th!
Along with the announcement, comments have been received from Kashiwagi, Kamiya Hiroshi, and Inoue Kazuhiko.
This is her first single release since going solo!
The title song “Alca” is the opening theme
for the anime “Natsume’s Book of Friends: Urushi.”
Refreshing and gentle. I want to cherish
my feelings, my feelings for others, the bonds I have
with them, and the colors and things I can see now . It’s a song that makes you feel like you’re in Natsume’s Book of Friends from the sound and voice . For the booklet shoot, I wanted to feel the world of Natsume even from the photos, so I went to the model location, Hitoyoshi and Kuma areas in Kumamoto Prefecture! It was a hot shoot, but everyone I met asked me, “Did you come to Hitoyoshi for Natsume’s Book of Friends?” and I felt the power of the work once again.
I was also involved in writing the lyrics for the B-side song “Already!”
It was my first time writing lyrics, but
I wrote them for you, for myself.

I think what makes the repetitive everyday life special is the little things you notice and cherishing the ordinary. I feel that both
Kashiwagi Hinata’s “Alca” and the new “Natsume Yuujinchou” that starts with it carefully convey this message.
It’s nostalgic but new, refreshing but gentle.
The moment I heard this song, the world of Natsume spread out and it touched my heart.
It was a strange feeling, even though it was my first time hearing it. I
‘m even more excited for the broadcast starting in October.
The CD includes “Alca,” which is the opening theme for the TV anime “Natsume’s Book of Friends: Urushi,” as well as three other songs for which Kashiwagi herself was involved in writing the lyrics: “Already!” and “Alca (TV-Size).”
