At “Aniplex Online Fest 2024” held today, it was announced that the TV anime “mono” will begin broadcasting in 2025.

In addition, a PV revealing the character visual and voice of the main character, Satsuki Amemiya, as well as cast information, were also released, revealing that Kazuki Mikawa will be playing the role.

Broadcast begins in 2025!

“mono” is a popular four-frame manga by Afro, currently being serialized in Houbunsha’s “Manga Time Kirara Carat”.

Afro, who sparked the camping boom with her representative work “Laid-Back Camp,” which was also made into an anime and a live-action film, has created a “manga about how to have fun this weekend” that centers around high school girls who belong to the “Cinephoto Club,” a combination of the Photography Club and the Film Studies Club.

Using a variety of techniques, including filming with a 360° panoramic camera and a pseudo-drone with a camera attached to a kite, the film captures the scenery, mainly of Kofu City in Yamanashi Prefecture, and the daily lives of these women.

Aniplex and Houbunsha, the team behind many animated works such as “Hidamari Sketch” and “Bocchi the Rock!”, have joined forces with the up-and-coming Studio Soine to bring the film to fruition.

The staff includes director Aike Ryota (Jujutsu Kaisen: Kaigyoku/Gamaori/Shibuya Incident), character design by Miyahara Takuya (Asteroid in Love), and series composition by Yonaiyama Yoko (Finger Tip Love).

Amemiya Satsuki, a member of the high school photography club, is depressed by the graduation of her beloved club captain, but with encouragement from her best friend and fellow club member, Kiriyama Ann, she decides to try her best in club activities again.
