The anniversary BD-BOX of the classic anime “Memole the Pointed Hat” will be released! There will also be a special broadcast and limited-time distribution to commemorate this!The classic anime series “Memole, the Pointed Hat” will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2024. An anniversary Blu-ray box set will be released on December 25, 2024, containing the 1984 TV anime (50 episodes in total), the 1985 movie version, and the OVA “Memole, the Pointed Hat: Mariel’s Jewelry Box” released in the same year!

Digitally remastered from the original master, the DVD contains approximately 20 hours of high-rate SD quality footage on two Blu-ray discs in a compact, all-at-once viewing format.

The outer case features an original illustration by character designer Yasuhiro Nagura.

In addition, to commemorate the release of this BD-BOX, a special broadcast of episode 10 will be aired on TOKYO MX. Also, episodes 1 to 3 will be exclusively streamed on the Toei Animation Museum YouTube channel, so be sure to check it out!

マリエルの身を案じ、毎日のように飛んでくる、みみずくのボォボォを「メモル」だと勘違いした家庭教師のペネローペさんは、使用人のジョルジュに命じてボォボォを撃ち落とそうとします。大きな銃声にショックを受けて、木の穴に引きこもってしまったボォボォ。ボォボォに恐ろしい銃撃を忘れさせようと、メモルたちは「忘れ草」のお茶を飲ませることにします。ところが、メモルがそれを飲んでしまって…。
