The song’s chorus highlights the charm of the mysterious creature, Kinokoinu, singing “Dog, dog, dog, mushroom dog,” making it a fun tune for both listening and singing along.
Special Message from Rakugo Artist Taihei Hayashiya
The anime has also received a special message from rakugo artist Taihei Hayashiya, who serves as a director of the Japan Animal Welfare Society. Hayashiya shares a personal reflection on loss and the joy of welcoming new furry family members, encouraging viewers to cherish their pets as family, just as Kinokoinu becomes an irreplaceable part of Hotaru’s life.

The Story of “Kinokoinu”: A Touching Tale of Loss and New Beginnings
