“Hundred Demons” is a huge hit series that has recorded a total of 560 million views on the Chinese video distribution service “bilibili.” Set in ancient China, the story depicts the journey of Taoyao, a doctor who specializes in monsters, and his companions, as well as the heart-to-heart exchange that transcends race.
The main characters will be played by the same cast members from the first season: Toyama Nao as Toyo, Murase Ayumu as Toyo’s partner and kindhearted young monk Maga, and Kawanishi Kengo as Yanagi Kimiko, a nobleman (actually a giant snake) who watches over Maga.
Ahead of the broadcast, a key visual featuring Momoo and his group, as well as a promotional video featuring many of the guest characters from the second season, were released today.

Momoo, a doctor who specializes in monsters, travels with the young monk Maga, the gray fox Gungun, and the nobleman (who is actually a giant snake) Yanagisawa, in search of the lost “Hundred Monsters Book,” rescuing monsters from all over the country.
She performs treatment by ringing the golden bell on her wrist and listening to the voices of her patients’ hearts.
What was glimpsed there was a pure and earnest desire: “I want to live” and “I want to be with someone.”
Through repeated meetings and partings, the spiritual doctor, Momoyo, heals their wounds.
The journey to learn about a hundred monsters and a hundred hearts begins again.
