The speakers were Kobayashi Yusuke, who plays Natsuki Subaru, Takahashi Rie, who plays Emilia, Okamoto Nobuhiko, who plays Garfiel Tinsel, and Amasaki Kohei, who plays Otto Suen. In addition, Yamane Ayaka, who plays Liliana Masquerade and Anzai Chika, who plays Sirius Romanee-Conti, who will be making their first appearance in the 3rd season, spoke about their enthusiasm for the advance screenings starting on August 30th (Friday), and their impressions of walking down the red carpet and interacting closely with the fans.
In this article, we will report on the event, where Kabukicho was enveloped in the world of “Re:Zero.”
As the event drew to a close, the cast members were shown in the waiting room on the giant screen at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. Kobayashi began by saying, “Thank you very much for coming to the Japan Premier Carpet Event for ‘Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another World − Theatrical Malice’ today!” Takahashi then asked, “Are you all ready to get excited?” to let everyone know the show was about to begin, and everyone responded in unison, “Please wait for us!”
The cast members took to the stage as the monitor counted down, followed by the Emilia, Rem, and Ram mascots, who looked so adorable that Takahashi exclaimed, “They’re so tiny! So cute!”
Emilia has participated in other “Re:ZERO” events, but this was her first appearance as Rem and Ram. The event started in such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The highlight of this event was seeing the cast members walk gracefully down the red carpet. Under a brilliant sky, Kobayashi and the others walked slowly, looking at the faces of each and every audience member.
It was the first time for most of the cast members to walk the red carpet, and it was the perfect stage to kick off the third season. They looked so close that it was hard to believe it was their first time, and they were waving with bright smiles on their faces.
Kobayashi, who walked the red carpet, expressed her joy by saying, “It’s hot, but it feels even better than that. I’m so happy to be watched over so closely by all the fans and to feel their warmth.” Takahashi exclaimed in high spirits, “This is my first time on a red carpet, so it feels great!”
Okamoto-san excited the venue by saying, “It’s hot, but are you all having fun?” and commented enthusiastically, “I can feel this heat on this red carpet. I think it’s the best!” Amakasaki-san said, “It’s hot, but everyone was fanning me as I walked, and it was really cool,” and then showed concern for the health of the audience by saying, “Please fan yourself too.”
Yamane further livened up the venue by saying, “This is my first time walking down a red carpet, so it feels really good. It’s also my first time meeting all of you ‘Re:Zero’ fans, so I’m really happy. Let’s have fun today!”
Anzai said, “This is my first time appearing at a Re:Zero event, and it was a little awkward because I’m the only one on the right side (the Witch’s Cult Archbishop) in the key visual,” which caused the audience to erupt in laughter. She then expressed her gratitude to the audience, saying, “But I’m really happy to have been given this opportunity. Thank you.”
During the carpet event, there was a question time. When asked if her favorite character had changed since “Re:ZERO” reached its third season, Kobayashi immediately answered, “Emilia.” She prefaced her answer by saying, “In the first and second seasons, Emilia and Subaru seemed closer, but they still had some way to go,” and continued, “In the third season, the feeling that they are moving in the same direction as the same camp is strongly expressed, so I hope people will pay attention to Emilia as a reliable character.”
Takahashi commented, “So, it was Subaru who became a knight in the final episode of the second season!”, and the venue was filled with joy. He added, “I think the third season is packed with new relationships and trust between knights, so that’s what’s worth watching.” Takahashi and Kobayashi then showed off their friendly relationship by exchanging words like, “Right?”
岡本さんは「ガーフィール的にはラムです！」と告白したのち、「3rd seasonになると気になる方々が二人ほど増えまして。ミミ（※ミミ・パールバトン）さんもちょっとね、気になるところですね」と推しキャラが増えたことを明かしました。
天﨑さんは「誰も言ってくれないかもしれないので、我らが内政官オットー・スーウェン！」と笑いを誘い、「3rd season、2nd seasonでスバルのよき友人となって、エミリア陣営に入って、大活躍をしますので3rd season楽しみにしておいてください」と話してくれました。そして、岡本さんのコメントに乗っかるように「天﨑個人としてはミミが好きだったりします」同じキャラクターを好きになっていることが明らかに。
山根さんは「私はベアトリスちゃんが好きなんですけども、好きすぎてアフレコの最初の方で新井さん（※新井里美さん）とご一緒したときに、お芝居を見すぎてどんどんベアトリスちゃんみたいに寄っていくっていう」とベアトリスへの愛を熱弁。「それくらい、いい影響をいただいたのでベア子が好きです」と告白しました。
安済さんは「ペテルギウス・ロマネコンティさんが、なぜか“ロマネコンティ”っていうのがなぜかわからないんですけど、（※自身の演じるシリウス・ロマネコンティ）と一緒なので」とペテルギウスとの関係性を示唆。「なぜかわからないんですけど、そこにシンパシーを感じたりして推しでございます」と語っていました。
続いて見どころ満載のトークイベントに移行。自己紹介は、キャストが自身のキャラクターの好きなセリフで行う流れとなり、小林さんは「俺の名前はナツキ・スバル。銀色のハーフエルフ、エミリアの騎士！」と声を張りました。
お次は高橋さんが、「私の名前はエミリア。ただのエミリアよ。ありがとう、スバル。私を助けてくれて」と挨拶。
岡本さんは「格言がいっぱいあるので、今回は3rd seasonに向けてのやつをいこうと思います」と前置きしつつ、「ラインハルトからは逃げられないってなぁ！」と作中で“剣聖”と称されるラインハルトにまつわる格言をガーフィールらしく披露しました。
天﨑さんは「私は大好きなこのセリフで行きたいと思います」と「友達の前で、かっこつけるのなんてやめちまえよ！ ナツキ・スバル！」と名言を披露。
山根さん「ギリと人情を秤にかけたらぶっ壊すのが、リリアナ・マスカレードです」と自己紹介。なんとキャラクターの声がでるのが本邦初公開だったようで、「はじめてセリフを表で言いました！」と嬉しそうに語っていました。
安済さんは「はい、もう私のはめっちゃ簡単でみなさんもすぐにできるので日頃から使ってください」と前置きをしてからの、「ありがとう、ごめんね」と言う非常にシンプルな自己紹介に会場は笑いに包まれました。
収録について「ある程度頻繁に会っていた」という小林さんは「あんまり久しぶりっていう感じはしなかった」と現場の落ち着いた様子も語ってくれました。
一方、初参加となる山根さんは「リリアナは本当に劇中歌が多くて、台詞だけでなく歌うシーンもたくさんあるんですけど、一話からももちろん（※歌うシーンが）ありまして、もう歌のことで頭が一杯になって」と精一杯だったことを暴露。劇中歌をアフレコ現場で収録すると聞いた際は「台本をいただいてからお風呂とかでもずっと歌って、それぐらい気合をいれて現場に行きました」と必死でお芝居に取り組んだことをアピールしました。
また、「もう心臓が飛び出るかと思いました、口から」と笑いを誘う山根さんに、小林さんは「普通は別で取りますからね」と言葉を添え、「その分臨場感が出ていたと思います」と劇中歌の出来をアピールしました。
山根さんと同じく、3rd seasonで初参加となる安済さんは「えっ可愛いでしょ、見てこのポーズ」と自身の演じるシリウスの可愛らしいポイントを後ろのビジュアルを指してアピールしました。
また、「私は全部見てすぐに収録に挑みまして、だから誰よりもホットな気持ちというか、たぶんファンのなかで最速で次（※3rd season）にいけたと思います」と作品へかける熱量を吐露しました。
ご自身の演じるキャラクターについては、「そんな感じで台本を読んで、あーこれはやばいキャラクターだって思って、すごい役を任せていただけたのだなと思ってかなり緊張しました」と話してくれました。
そして、「自分のなかではいろんな試行錯誤をしてやり方を変えて臨んだので、ドキドキバクバクです」と収録時の緊張感も告白。「収録の前後はアドレナリン出っぱなしみたいな経験をさせてもらえる現場はなかなかないので楽しかったです」とアクの強いキャラクターを演じられたことについて嬉しさを言葉にしました。
