The Ornstein family is a minor noble family that rules a remote territory in the country of Ristia. There are two siblings.

Her older sister, Marie, is an active girl who loves to receive sword training from her father.

His younger brother, Shion, is a shy boy who loves to stay in his room and read books.

Although the two have completely opposite personalities, they live together in harmony under the watchful eye of their kind parents.

One day, Shion asks her father if there is such a thing as “magic” in this world.
