The long-awaited second season is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Sunday, October 6, 2024 on TOKYO MX, Animax and other channels.
In addition, ahead of the broadcast, the second PV for the second season was released today. The opening theme will be a new song, “ROCK ME KISS ME feat. MOTSU,” performed by Yu Serizawa, following the first season. You can hear a snippet of the song in the second PV released today.
A promotional video has been released that gives a glimpse into the passion of the “Divine 15” drivers, including Natsuki Katagiri (CV: Uchida Yuuma), who stood out at the first MFG round, Odawara Pikes Peak, with his incredible driving technique despite it being his first time participating, as well as Shun Aiba (CV: Ono Daisuke), Mikhail Beckenbauer (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi), and Kouki Sawatari (CV: Osaka Ryota), for the second MFG round, Lake Ashi GT.

The OP theme for the 2nd season will be sung by Yu Serizawa, following on from the 1st season. The new song “ROCK ME KISS ME feat. MOTSU” is a powerful collaboration with MOTSU, who has been a big hit among Initial D fans and others. It is a fast-paced song that matches the series perfectly.

When I sang the opening theme for the first season last year, I was worried about how well people would accept me as Serizawa Yu, who is not part of “move”. However, so many people listened to my previous song, “JUNGLE FIRE feat. MOTSU”, and it gave me so much confidence, so I want to show a more reliable and cool side of myself in the second season.
“JUNGLE FIRE feat. MOTSU” was created with the hope that everyone who has been supporting us since “Initial D” would feel “this feeling is so nostalgic!”, so we created this Eurobeat song together with MOTSU. However, the second season of the anime will feature more intense battles and will delve deeper into the personalities of each character.
So, “ROCK ME KISS ME feat.MOTSU” is a really great song that has a nostalgic feel just like the previous song, but also has an emotional feel to it! When you think of “MF Ghost,” you think of Serizawa Yu! I want people to think of it…‼ Please give it a listen!
The opening song is full of Eurobeat, and we blasted it with Serico. For those of you who are worried that “you’ve already run out of ammo, haven’t you?”, we have prepared this machine gun with a flash. Since “MF Ghost” is going as far as it can go, we are also fully prepared to go to the other side of our limits. “MF Ghost” is not an anime to sit and watch. It’s an anime to run with your whole body.
