This time, the official first broadcast report has arrived from the live broadcast that took place on Friday, July 19th.
This is a limited-time online salon that offers a relaxing and enjoyable time through nails, set in the online nail salon “TaroSalon” run by a rookie nail artist played by nail-loving voice actor Nishiyama Kotaro and a senior nail artist played by top nail artist “KAI”.
The theme of this time is “TaroSalon’s Chill Time”. Nishiyama-san, Kai-san, and the salon staff who are “online salon members” will spend chill time together through various corner projects, including nails.
The online salon “TaroSalon Chill Time by Nishiyama Kotaro and KAI,” where nail-loving voice actor Nishiyama Kotaro, who is affiliated with 81 Produce, and top nail artist KAI will deliver a relaxing and chill time space through nails, will start in July! The first live broadcast on Friday, July 19th at 7:00 p.m. featured “melty nails,” perfect for summer.
TaroSalon has restarted for the first time in about 7 months since the first episode ended last year. Nishiyama-san and KAI-san, who livened up the first episode with their well-coordinated talk, are still going strong today. Without any prior discussion, they appeared in matching outfits with summery outfits in matching colors.
During the live broadcast, they watched the comments sent in by the new members. The two were touched by the “Welcome back” calls and comments. After the first round of the broadcast ended last year, many of the members were fans of Nishiyama and had visited KAI’s nail salon.
You might think that Nishiyama and KAI were meeting again for the first time in a long time, but in fact, to coincide with their live performance at the end of June, Nishiyama had KAI do conceptual nails for the character he voices.
In this live broadcast, in response to Nishiyama’s request for “glittery, summery nails,” we decided on “mellow nails” that feature sheer matte nails with vivid orange and green! While KAI gives us a lecture on nail tips, Nishiyama will try her hand at doing her own nails.
Nishiyama reveals her true feelings, saying, “If I could wish…I wouldn’t want to do it! If KAI did it all for me, my nails would be perfect…”
However, KAI cut him off with a smile, saying, “This is TaroSalon! I’ll be the teacher, and I think the highlight will be seeing Nishiyama take on the challenge!” Nishiyama said enthusiastically, “This is my second year at TaroSalon! Although the off-season was quite long! I want to use my experience from last time to create nails that I won’t regret!” And so KAI’s nail lecture began.
At the time of the live broadcast, the nails were almost complete except for the middle finger on the left hand, which will be the subject of the demonstration. The nail on the middle finger has also been prepared with a base color applied. From here, we will be teaching how to create a matte color base and how to create smooth art.
TaroSalon will carefully explain the nail products and techniques used by professionals in the broadcast. They will also teach you tips on how to apply nail polish to make it last longer, how to apply color beautifully, and how to use LED lights properly!
The broadcast progresses as we get a close-up look at KAI’s professional techniques as he paints right up to the edge of his nails.
“If you’re the type that puts too much force into your nails… like this…” she explains in detail the mistakes that self-nailers make and how to deal with them. Some members wrote in the comments section, “That was me…”
“(Not feeling the heat) means that Nishiyama-san is in good health today!” “I’m perfect!” said Nishiyama-san with a smile. When KAI asked, “Nishiyama-san, you can withstand the heat of the curing process, right?”, Nishiyama-san revealed that she had been enduring the heat, saying, “I can stand it, but… when I asked for my nails done for a live performance, it was hot… but… I ended up acting.”
So, we decided to do some art on the thumb of the right hand. KAI explained the procedure with easy-to-understand illustrations. “You can tell from this that he’s good at art…” Nishiyama said.
そしてとろりんアートの実践はスピード勝負！ジェルをたっぷり使うため、時間が経つと体温と重力で乗せたジェルが広がってきてしまうのです。
そしていよいよ、西山さんのとろりんアート挑戦タイムです！
自身の左手の中指に、セルフネイルでグリーンのとろりんアートを垂らしていきます。「失敗したら、やり直しはききますか？」と不安げに問いかける西山さん。KAIさんは「万が一失敗した時は僕が拭き取ります。焦ってLEDライトにツッコまなければ大丈夫！」と頼りになる一言。意を決してとろりんアートに臨みます。
「え、どっちが深めだっけ！」と焦りながら爪先にとろりんアートを作っていく西山さん。施術に時間がかかってしまいジェルが大きく広がってしまいました。「やり直したいですか？」というKAIさんの問いかけに「やり直したいです。」と即答する西山さん。KAIさんがきれいにふき取ってくれて、気を取り直して2度目の「とろりん」に挑みます！
KAIさんの誘導のもと、手早くセルフネイルを進めていく西山さん…。「はい、速攻ライトに入れます！」の一言で、施術の確認もそこそこに、勢いよく手をLEDライトに差し込んだ西山さん！ 思わず笑いがこみ上げてくるふたり。
「どうだった？どうだったんだろう!!」「どう？わかんない！詳細を見届けることが出来なかった…!!」
硬化が終るまで出来栄えはわかりません。硬化を終え、LEDライトから取り出してみると…？？
「え、、良いんじゃない？！」と西山さん。「これ（TaroSalonで実施したセルフネイルの中で）過去一成功してます！！」とKAIさんからもお墨付きをもらい、ふたりで喜びのハイタッチ！！全体のとろりんアートのバランスも良く、とろりんアート挑戦タイムの結果は大成功となりました！！
「自分で言うのもなんだけど…（昨年の配信よりも）KAIさんとの距離が縮まった気がする」とはにかむ西山さんに、「わかります！」と笑顔で返すKAIさん。次回の配信が待ち遠しいふたりでした。
