However, her cohabitation life is full of danger as she hides the fact that she is a “woman”… The love story of a cross-dressing girl and a doting vampire is about to begin!

Animate Times will be conducting a series of interviews about this work! For the second time, we asked Junichi Toki, who plays the role of Ruka Saotome, about his future key points and his “heart-pounding moment.”

–Please tell us your impressions when you first read the original work.

Junichi Toki (hereinafter referred to as Toki) who plays Ruka Saotome: I had read another manga by Ema Toyama, and I had the impression that it would make you squirm if you had a chance. I felt that the worldview of this work has become even more powerful, and it is also a work that makes you think, “There are infinite forms of love.” It shows a lot of different types of excitement. It’s a wonderful work that you can enjoy both traditional and avant-garde parts.

–Please introduce your character, Luka.

Toki: Luka is cool, confident in himself, and a hard worker who can do anything, but he’s still immature when it comes to human relationships, and more specifically, love. He still can’t handle feelings of love well within himself. To put it simply, I think it’s “adolescence,” but you can see the fluctuations that come with that. There’s a gap between that and his coolness that makes me want to support him.

–There are quite a few scenes where you’re like, “What the hell is this feeling…?”

Toki: He’s a vampire, but he’s still in adolescence (lol).

–From the viewer’s perspective, the blood-sucking scene is a shocking element, but from Luka’s perspective, it’s an act he does to survive.
