The intermission footage from the movie has now been released.
The newly released intermission footage from the movie looks back on the trajectory of how “Hatsune Miku” and “Vocaloid culture” have been nurtured by the hands of many creators, and narrates how “Project Sekai,” which was born from that, is now finally being made into a movie.
In addition, a new “Hatsune Miku” not depicted in the game will appear in this work. The appearance of “Hatsune Miku” that no one has seen before has made the video look forward to further news on the main story. Please enjoy the movie intermission video while looking forward to the story that this work will spin from now on.

The original work is an app game called “Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku” (abbreviated as “ProSeka”), which tells the story of boys and girls finding their “true feelings” and “their own song” in the setting of “Shibuya”, a city with a thriving subculture centered around music, and “Sekai”, a mysterious space that reflects people’s “true feelings”. The game also features virtual singers such as “Hatsune Miku”.
In this work, a new “Hatsune Miku” not appearing in the game meets the characters of “Project Sekai” and grows as a person, in a completely original story created by animation studio PAWORKS.
“Tell me about yourself. Then maybe I’ll understand the song.”
Hoshino Ichika hears a Miku song she has never heard before at a CD shop. She spots a “Hatsune Miku” on the monitor, in a form she has never seen before, and blurts out, “Miku!?” Miku is surprised by the voice, and although her eyes meet Ichika’s, she disappears shortly after.
Later, after Ichika finishes a street performance, Miku, whom she had seen before, appears on her smartphone. Miku looks lonely and downcast, and Ichika gently asks her what she has to say. She tells her that there are people she wants to reach with her songs, but no matter how much she sings, her songs never reach them.
Seeing Ichika’s performance, where her songs reach the hearts of many people, Miku wonders if she can do the same if she gets to know her better, and so she comes to see Ichika. Ichika smiles and answers Miku’s wish, saying, “If you don’t mind me,” and so begins a new story for Hatsune Miku and the boys and girls.
