It has been decided that a screening event for this film will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024!
After the screening of the main film, there will be a talk show between Director Ishizuka and Mr. Yoshimatsu.
“Goodbye, Don Grease!” is an original anime produced by director Atsuko Ishizuka, who worked on the smash hit “A Place Further than the Universe,” which was acclaimed not only in Japan but all over the world, and the prestigious animation studio MADHOUSE.
This film tells the story of a miraculous encounter between two boys.
The pain and joy that everyone felt at that time is depicted with humor and freshness. Just like “A Place Further than the Universe,” in which the girls set out for Antarctica, the setting of this film is not limited to Japan.
At the end of an adventure that begins during a different kind of summer vacation, Roma and his friends arrive in Iceland, the land of fire and ice.
By looking at yourself and transcending the world, what do you find at the end?
This film continues to enjoy enduring popularity even two years after its release, and will be screened for one day only as a special event!
After the screening, we will host a talk show with director Atsuko Ishizuka and character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu as guests, where they will discuss their thoughts about the film.
In addition, after the talk show there will be an autograph session, photo session, and social gathering (additional fee required)! Whether you are a repeat visitor or a first-time visitor, don’t miss this rare opportunity!
