“Doraemon” is an anime based on the hugely popular manga by Fujiko F. Fujio. It depicts the friendship and daily life of Doraemon, a cat-shaped robot from the future who pulls out mysterious “secret gadgets” from his fourth-dimensional pocket, and Nobita, who is bad at both studying and sports, and his friends.
The TV anime series has been broadcast for over 45 years and is beloved as a long-running series, and many feature films have been produced. The latest film in the series, “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony,” was released in March this year and became a huge hit, making it a nationally loved anime series.
The newly opened “Doraemon Special” official free channel on “ABEMA” will broadcast 93 episodes of the “Doraemon” TV anime as well as 41 “Doraemon Movies” nonstop for 65 days every day. In addition, starting from Doraemon’s birthday on September 3, a special birthday project will be held, featuring 18 past “Doraemon Birthday Special” episodes.
