“Fire Force” is a hugely popular comic that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2015 to 2022 and has sold over 20 million copies worldwide (as of July 2024). The first season of the TV anime series aired in 2019, and the second season in 2020.
The story is set in a world where people are frightened of the “human combustion phenomenon,” in which ordinary people suddenly burst into flames, turning into fiery monsters called “Homurabitos” and wreaking havoc. A boy named Shinra Kusakabe, who is called a “devil” because of a fire he was involved in as a child, aims to become a “hero” and joins the Special Fire Force to face the fear of flames. This is a scorching dark fantasy in which he and his friends fight against the “Homurabitos,” and try to unravel the great secrets of the world and the “human combustion phenomenon.”
The third season of the TV anime “Fire Force Season 3”, which has been decided to be produced for some time, has now officially begun, and broadcast information has been released. It will be broadcast in two separate seasons, from April 2025 to January 2026, and will depict the original manga to its conclusion.
Along with the release of the broadcast information, a teaser visual and teaser PV for Season 3, depicting the main character Shinra heading to the final battle, were also released. After footage from the original comic was played, the words “TV anime to end” appeared on the screen and Aimer’s song “SPARKAGAIN”, the opening theme for Season 2 of the TV anime, began.
Scenes depicting the exploits of Shinra and the Special Fire Force 8, other Special Fire Forces, and the Evangelists are played along with the music, and at the end, the words “Final Chapter of the TV Anime” appear along with new footage from the third chapter.
Anticipation is building for what kind of exploits Shinra and the others will show as they throw themselves into the final battle.
Additionally, the first season of the TV anime, “Fire Force Season 1,” is being streamed for free in its entirety on YouTube’s “Magazine Channel.” In addition, the second season of the TV anime, “Fire Force Season 2,” is also being streamed for free, with more episodes being released in due course.
