The original work, “NO.6,” is a Japanese near-future science fiction, dystopian novel by Atsuko Asano, who has gained popularity for her works that vividly depict the relationships and emotions of teenage boys and girls, such as the best-selling novel “Battery” and the “Telepathic Girl Ran’s Case Notes” series.
The two main characters, Shion, will be voiced by Teru Imamachi, and Nezumi will be voiced by Kazuki Furuta. Comments from Atsuko Asano and other creators have been released.

The work “No.6” is a big challenge for me.
I challenge the state and reality with two boys. I continued writing with that resolve.
The two boys have flesh and blood, and the world of “No.6” appears on the stage.
It is expressed by the best cast. Right now, I am savoring the excitement and happiness.
I think it’s a work that seems to be far removed from reality, but that has something to say to the world today. I’m looking forward to seeing the weak but strong will to stand up, the various emotions, the strange souls that are attracted to each other, and the relationships between them! I want to
create a character for Nezumi and Shion that resonates and empathizes with, especially with Kazuki Furuta, who played the same role (in another work).
I hope to be able to express the world of No. 6 as a musical!
From rehearsals to the final performance, I will work hard on the production without letting my guard down for even a single day.
I will face the meaning and significance of conveying the theme and message of NO.6 as a musical, and do my best to prepare it so that it will be a production that people will be truly glad to have come to see. I am
very much looking forward to delivering to everyone the best production and the mouse that only I can create at this very moment!!

Shion lives in Chronos, an upscale residential area in “NO.6,” an ideal city created by humanity using the best of science. He is an elite whose bright future has been promised since he was a child.
On his 12th birthday, Shion felt an indescribable commotion in his heart as an unusual storm arrived. He instinctively opened the window, and suddenly a drenched boy jumped in.
Shion takes care of him, who calls himself Nezumi, knowing that he is a criminal who has escaped from a correctional facility. However, the next morning, he has become a fugitive again and has disappeared from Shion’s sight.
Four years later, Shion was driven out of Chronos after hiding a rat, and was living with his mother in Lost Town, a downtown area. One day, a dead body was discovered in the park where Shion works. Shion, who had doubts and was growing increasingly distrustful of the authorities, was about to be taken away as a suspect in the case, but just in time, the rat he met that day came to his rescue!
Shion abandons everything and runs to the West Block, where Nezumi tells Shion the true nature of “No. 6” that Shion did not know. Is it a coincidence or fate? The two who end up saving each other’s lives are faced with a harsh “truth.”
