BS10 Star Channel’s long-term special feature on “Space Battleship Yamato” has released a promotional video for the works to be broadcast in July! Three works will be broadcast, including “Space Battleship Yamato Final Chapter [HD Remastered Edition]”BS10 Star Channel is running a long, in-depth special on Space Battleship Yamato for three consecutive months.

The lineup of shows to be broadcast in July and a promotional video including footage from the films have been released!

To coincide with the release of the video, it has been decided that in August, two compilations of the TV series “Space Battleship Yamato 2” and “Space Battleship Yamato III,” “Space Battleship Yamato 2 Compilation” and “Space Battleship Yamato III: Catastrophe of the Solar System,” will be broadcast and streamed.

The fourth movie (fifth feature film) of the series depicts the efforts of the Space Battleship Yamato as it faces the threat of the Earth being submerged, bringing the series to a temporary end. As befitting the final film, the narration by the great actor Nakadai Tatsuya adds a touch of dignity to the story, from the reappearance of the first captain, Okita Juzo, to the dramatic end of the Yamato. In addition to the epic story about the secrets of the Earth’s creation, the back-and-forth battle between Yamato and the Dingir Empire, which uses a new weapon called the hyper radiation missile, is a series of highlights that will keep you glued to the screen until the very end.

This is the fifth film (and sixth feature-length film) produced 26 years after Space Battleship Yamato: Final Chapter in 1983. Set 17 years after the previous film, it is directed by Nishizaki Yoshinobu, who has worked on all the films in the series. Yamato faces two threats: a mobile black hole and a mysterious allied fleet that stands in the way of humanity’s migration plan. The full CG rendering of Yamato’s weighty body and the powerful battle scenes are stunning. The human drama surrounding the 38-year-old captain, Kodai Susumu, is also fascinating.
