“WIND BREAKER” is a yankee manga serialized by Nii Satoru on the official Weekly Shonen Magazine app “Magazine Pocket”. Furin High School is famous for being the ultimate delinquent school with the lowest academic ability but the strongest fights. Haruka Sakura, a first-year high school student who came to the town with the aim of becoming the top, learns that the school has become a group called “Boufuurin” that protects the town, and fights to protect the town as a member of the group.
It regularly tops the popularity rankings of Magazine Pocket, and the collected volumes are quickly reprinted, attracting much attention. The TV anime, directed by Toshifumi Akai and animated by CloverWorks, will be broadcast nationwide on 28 MBS/TBS affiliates in the “Super Animeism TURBO” slot from April 2024, attracting even more attention.
At the “WIND BREAKER Exhibition”, there will be new illustrations drawn by the original author Nii Satoru and animation production company CloverWorks for this exhibition, as well as photo spots where you can take photos that immerse yourself in the world of the work. Original goods using the newly drawn illustrations will also be on sale.
The illustration released this time was newly drawn for this exhibition by Taishi Kawakami, who is in charge of character design for the TV anime. It depicts Sakura, Nirei, Soho, and Umemiya relaxing at “Cafe Potos” that appears in the work. Together with the newly drawn illustration by Niisatoru, the charm of the work is brought out, and expectations for the exhibition are only growing.
Additionally, the “16-piece photo-style card set (with PVC holder)” that will be given to those who purchase the “goods-included admission ticket” at the venue was also unveiled, with 16 different illustrations. The set uses original illustrations from both the original manga and the anime, and Niisatoru’s original illustrations include Shishigashira Ren members Usamiyama Choji and Togame Jo. Along with the 7 stickers that will be handed out randomly as a special gift to visitors to the exhibition, this is sure to be an item that fans will want to get their hands on.
