During the GC Novels 10th Anniversary Live Broadcast “GC10th Thanksgiving” held on Sunday, June 23, 2024, it was announced that the TV anime “The Ghost of Sorrow Wants to Retire” will start broadcasting in October 2024.
At the event, Ono Kensho, who plays Cry, and Kubota Miyu, who plays Tino, appeared on stage and spoke about their enthusiasm for the anime adaptation.
★The cast and character designs for five characters of the strongest party, Strange Grief, led by the main character Cry Andrich (CV: Ono Kensho), have been revealed at the same time!
The role of Liz Smart will be played by Fairouz Ai, the role of Sitri Smart will be played by Kobayashi Yoshimi, the role of Luke Psychol will be played by Amazaki Kohei, the role of Anthem Smart and the narrator will be played by Sugita Tomokazu, and the role of Lucia Roget will be played by Koga Aoi.
She is the younger sister of Ansem, Sitri’s older sister, and is also Tino’s master. Her nickname “Zetsuei” was inherited from the thief she trained under, and comes from the name of a technique that boasts lightning speed that leaves no trace behind. Her fighting style is truly that of a genocidal monster. Be careful, though, because she refers to herself as “Liis-chan” when she’s angry.

Even from the audition script, I could see that she was an incredible girl with sudden changes in personality, temperature differences, excitement, momentum and pressure, and I thought, “This would be worth playing!” so I was really happy to be entrusted with the role of Liz.
He’s quite the troublemaker among the unique members of Street Fighter Glee, so be sure to look forward to seeing how he’ll be involved in the story!
The younger sister of Liz and Ansem, and one of Cry’s childhood friends. An excellent alchemist who was once hailed as the “best” in the Imperial Capital. With a wealth of knowledge, she is the leader of Strange Grief, and is adept at everything from cooking to supporting the party’s finances. Her dream for the future seems to be to become a bride.

叫び台詞が多くて演じていて気持ちが良いですし、嘆きの亡霊メンバーの個性が濃いのでアフレコがめちゃくちゃ楽しいです！アニメ放送をお楽しみに！
帝都でも屈指の守護騎士（パラディン）にして、リィズとシトリーの兄。クライの幼馴染の中で最も落ち着いた性格の持ち主で《嘆きの亡霊（ストレンジ・グリーフ）》の守りの要。《嘆きの亡霊（ストレンジ・グリーフ）》の無茶な戦いぶりはアンセムの回復魔法があってこそである。全般で頼りになる男だが、妹であるリィズとシトリーに甘すぎることが唯一の弱点で、彼女らを制御することにおいては全く頼りにならない。
