The TV anime of the work will be broadcast on 28 TBS affiliated stations nationwide from 4:30 p.m. every Sunday from July 7th. After the broadcast, it will be available on each distribution service from 5:30 p.m.

The much-anticipated TV anime adaptation of the popular series currently being serialized in “Bessatsu Shonen Magazine” has been announced.

A young boy named Will enrolls in a magic academy with the goal of becoming a full-fledged wizard. Although he is a hard worker, he has a fatal weakness as a wizard: he cannot use magic at all.

Will is met with cold stares from his classmates and teachers, and sometimes feels like giving up, but he forges ahead with a strong will. Even though he can’t use a wand, he takes up a sword and fights in a world where magic is supreme. He believes in the power that only he has been given. And to keep a promise to a loved one…

Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (action director of Chainsaw Man), the film depicts the sword and magic battles that are the essence of the original work as high-quality action.

Character design and chief animation director is Saki Ono (Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon).

The music is by Yuuki Hayashi (Haikyu!!, My Hero Academia). The production is a joint venture between Actus and Bandai Namco Pictures. A cutting-edge team of staff has come together for this film.
