This work is a coming-of-age story about a high school student, Asaya Kanata, who is absorbed in making music videos, who encounters the singing voice of Orishige Yu while she is performing on the street, and struggles to make a music video for her song. The character voice of Orishige Yu is provided by Mariya Ise, and the singing artist is Kei Sugawara.

As such, there are many anime works in which the voice actors who provide the character voices and the singing cast are separate. This time, we will focus on and introduce characters who are double-cast, with the voice actors acting and the singing cast being performed by artists.

Uta, known as the “world’s diva,” surprised fans when she appeared as Luffy’s childhood friend and the daughter of Red-Haired Shanks, along with other characters in the series.

She is played by Nazuka Kaori, who is known for her roles as Shimizu Kiyoko in “Haikyu!!” and Eureka in “Eureka Seven”. The singer is Ado, who recently became the first female solo artist to hold a solo concert at the National Stadium.

The songs sung by Uta are also talked about for being written and composed by a number of famous artists, including “Shin-jidai” (Yasutaka Nakata), “I Am the Strongest” (Motoki Omori: Mrs. GREEN APPLE), and “Gyakukou” (Vaundy). There was also a cheering screening where fans could bring in light sticks and shout out in the crowd, which was a little different from the usual “One Piece” movies.

She is a singer who appeared in the 25th anniversary work of the “Macross” series, which was broadcast in 2008. The character is voiced by Endo Aya, and the song is sung by May’n. Another singer, Ranka Lee, appears, but she is acted and sung by Nakajima Megumi.

Just like Uta, who is known as the “Diva of the World,” Shrill is a top singer known as the “Fairy of the Galaxy.” The story develops into a love triangle between the protagonist Alto Saotome and Ranka, making for an exciting read. Yoko

Kanno, who has worked on the music for Turn A Gundam, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Aquarion the Movie, composed many of the songs, including “Sagittarius☆9pm Don’t be late,” sung in the first episode.

“Angel Beats!” is a school fantasy based on the original work by Jun Maeda that aired in 2010. The girl band “Girls Dead Monster (also known as Garudemo)” that appears in the story is depicted as a band that enjoys immense popularity within the school. Their

popularity was not limited to the anime, as they ranked high on the Oricon charts and held live events, which made them a hot topic at the time.

The vocals are provided by singer-songwriters Marina and LiSA, while the character voices are provided by Miyuki Sawashiro and Eri Kitamura, respectively.

The opening theme “My Soul, Your Beats!”, the ending theme “Brave Song”, and the insert songs were all written and composed by Maeda. As the story is set in the afterlife, many of the lyrics are based on the theme of life and death, and although they are sung powerfully with a rock sound, they also have a certain sadness to them.

This is the first original animated film by the video team Hurray!, which is popular among the younger generation. It is a coming-of-age story about a high school student, Asaya Kanata, who is absorbed in making music videos, who encounters the singing voice of Orishige Yu during a street performance and struggles to make a music video for her song.

The character voice of Orishige will be provided by Mariya Ise, and the singing artist will be Kei Sugawara. Sugawara is a singer-songwriter who has been active since 2020, and was selected as one of Spotify’s next-generation artists in 2022, “RADAR: Early Noise 2022.”

Just like the main character, you may be moved by her powerful yet delicate singing voice, which will make you want to hear it again and again. Several songs are performed in the film, and the lyric videos have been released on the film’s official YouTube channel even before the film’s release. In addition to the singing voices, the illustrations, each drawn in a different style, are also worth paying attention to.

Other works that feature them include Walküre member Mikumo Guynemer (voice: Koshimizu Ami/sung by JUNNA) from “Macross Delta”, the main character Vivi (voice: Tanezaki Atsumi/sung by Yagi Kairi) from “Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-“, Yuzuriha Inori (voice: Kayano Ai/sung by Chelly) from “Guilty Crown”, Carol (voice: Shimabukuro Miyuri/sung by Nai Br.XX), Tuesday (voice: Ichinose Kana/sung by Celeina Ann) and Angela (voice: Uesaka Sumire/sung by Alisa) from “Carole & Tuesday”. Why not enjoy the songs of these various divas?
