The cumulative circulation of the comic series worldwide has exceeded 85 million copies! My Hero Academia is a TV anime based on the popular comic by Kohei Horikoshi currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha).
The setting is a world in which approximately 80% of the population has some kind of supernatural ability or “individuality.” Izuku Midoriya and his classmates attend Yuei High School with the aim of becoming a hero, a profession that protects people and society from accidents, disasters, and criminals and villains who exploit their individuality. The story of their growth, battles, and friendship unfolds!
A world where humans with supernatural abilities, “quirks,” are the norm. Izuku Midoriya, commonly known as “Deku”, is a boy with no “quirk” who meets his favorite No. 1 hero, All Might. He discovers the qualities of a hero hidden within him, and All Might gives him a “quirkless” one. Inherited For All (OFA). Deku enters Yuuei High School, a prestigious school that produces heroes, and aims to become a “hero” who can save society and people with his “individuality” and grows together with his classmates in Class 1A of the hero department.
Spring of Deku’s second year of heroics. The heroes carry out a campaign to wipe out the enemy villains, including the dead trees, and a fierce battle that can truly be described as an “all-out war” unfolds. Both sides suffer great damage and the all-out war comes to an end, but trust in the heroes is shaken and society is left in ruins.
Deku fights alone out of a sense of duty as the successor to OFA, which All For One (AFO) is targeting, and because he doesn’t want to put the people around him at risk. 次は、君だ――。
超常能力“個性”を持つ人間が当たり前になった世界で、“平和の象徴”と呼ばれたかつてのNo.1ヒーロー・オールマイトが“悪の帝王”との死闘を制した直後に発した言葉。
オールマイトがNo,1ヒーローの座を退いた後も、彼のヒーローの意志は、出久たち雄英高校ヒーロー科に受け継がれた。
出久たちが雄英2年目の春に勃発した、ヒーローvs敵＜ヴィラン＞の全面戦争。出久は恐るべき力を手に入れた死柄木弔と対峙、激しくぶつかり合う。ヒーローと敵＜ヴィラン＞の双方が大きなダメージを受け、死柄木の撤退により戦いは一旦の終結を見るが、再び相まみえる決戦の時は刻一刻と近づいていた。
そんな全面戦争の影響で荒廃した社会に突如、謎の巨大要塞が現れ、次々と街や人を飲み込んでいく。
そして出久たちの前に、“平和の象徴”を思わせる男が立ちはだかり……
