Animate Times recently introduced the music unit “Kimi no Ne” who sings the OP of “Yuru Camp △ SEASON 3” and the artist Asaka, who is familiar with the OP of the “Yuru Camp △” series and is in charge of the ED for this work. We conducted an email interview with Mr. In addition to talking about the song, we asked him about his impressions after watching SEASON 3'' and his enthusiasm for
Yuru Camp△ Music Festival 2024,” which will be held in June.
Artist interviews delivered in the first and second parts. This time, “Kimi no Ne”, who is in charge of the OP, will appear.
──“Kimi no Ne” will be the first time you sing a “Yuru Camp△” song, but first of all, could you please introduce yourself to “Yuru Camp△” fans and tell us what kind of unit “Kimi no Ne” is? ?
Kimi no Ne: We are a music unit consisting of sound producer Maon Kuge, violinist Mai Otani, and vocalist and storyteller Tsumugishachi.
“Kimi no Ne” has the meaning of “I want to grow the roots of music with you.”
──Do you have a favorite anime?
Yours: “ONE PIECE”! I’ve been watching it with my family ever since I was born, and by chance I was able to participate in the recording of both the soundtrack and the ending. Up until now, I’ve only been a viewer of ONE PIECE,'' but I'm moved by the feeling that I've been able to take part in delivering a small part of
ONE PIECE.” By the way, the ending theme song that Mr. Kushita participated in was Maki Otsuki’s “Dear Sunrise,” which Mr. Kushita was involved in composing and arranging, and it is still played on TV every week. (Mai Otani)
──What is the theme of this song “Laid Back Journey”?
Kimi no Ne: The title, Laid Back, has the meaning of being relaxed and relaxed.
Just like those words, this time we created it with the theme of Let's create the sound of
Yuru Camp△” with all our “Kimi no Ne” style! I think that if you listen to it while taking a walk or in the car on your way to a trip, it will fill you with the excitement of fun things to come.
For us, it is also our debut CD,'' so we also think of it as the theme song for our upcoming journey called
Kimi no Ne.”
──Please tell us if there was anything you paid attention to or focused on when singing “Laid Back Journey”.
You: I tried to relax in a good way and share the warm and relieved feeling I had when I watched Yuru Camp△. I valued the atmosphere, and while recording, I watched the footage and images from “Yuru Camp△” and valued this atmosphere, and the feeling of being immersed in the scene.
I think I was able to record the violin arrangement with a sense of playfulness, as I added it during the recording process thinking, “Wouldn’t this also be good?”
──Please tell us the highlights of the song and your favorite phrases.
Kimi no Ne: Is there some loose rap in the B melody? There are camping terms sprinkled throughout, so I want you to pay attention to it! Also, I hope people pay attention to the intro and interlude where the violin sings cheerfully…!
–If you have any tips on how to sing at karaoke for your fans, please tell us.
For you: Don’t think too much about singing well, just think of the BPM as the rhythm of a walk and sing along! I’m sure it will be a laid-back voice…!
