To commemorate the start of broadcasting of this work, we conducted a discussion interview with Yumiri Hanamori, who plays Nadeshiko Kakamigahara, Nao Higashiyama, who plays Rin Shima, and Tomoyo Kurosawa, who plays Ayano Toki. As a new chapter for “Yuru Camp△” begins, their words convey their undying love and excitement for the new season.
ーーThe broadcast of “Yuru Camp△ SEASON 3” is finally starting.
Higashiyama : Yuru Camp△'' is full of universal comfort that feels nostalgic, and I personally wanted to continue working on it. We, the cast members, have built strong teamwork in a friendly atmosphere on set, so I'm really happy to be able to welcome SEASON 3” like this.
Hanamori : Actually, one of my friends is a big fan of Ayano. The moment SEASON 3'' was announced, I could immediately see the happy face of that child, and I couldn't help but smile. I think Ayano-chan won the hearts of many people with SEASON 2”. Therefore, her charm should shine even more this season. I’m sure more people will like her!
Kurosawa : Ever since the decision for SEASON 3'' was announced, everyone around me has been telling me, I’m looking forward to the next one!” In SEASON 2, Ayano joined in the middle and was a character who appeared in spots, so I was worried about whether she would be able to appear again, but when I read the original story and learned about the content of SEASON 3'', I thought, I can appear again!” I was very excited.
Higashiyama : When I first saw the “SEASON 3” logo, I saw the suspension bridge and Ayano and Rin’s two bikes side by side, and I thought, “This is hot!” Just by looking at this logo, you can feel the new development of the story and get excited.
Hanamori : I think it’s amazing that there are fans who can guess which story will be drawn just by looking at this logo. It’s a popular episode in the original, so I thought, “It’s finally here!”
Kurosawa : I was really looking forward to seeing how long the story would unfold, and I think Ayano’s position between Nadeshiko and Rin is exactly what fans aspire to be in. She’s like the main character of a harem movie (lol).
Hanamori : That’s the fun part (lol).
Higashiyama : Maybe there are people who want to watch from a position like the trees in the universe?
Kurosawa : So, is it the “pine cone” from “\Konnichiwa/”? (lol)
–Little things… (lol). Like Ayano, who became friends with Rin through the Nadeshiko connection, have you ever had a deep relationship with someone like a “friend of a friend” at work or in your private life?
Kurosawa : I met my husband as a “friend of a friend.” By chance, we became good friends, and the same day we met, we all ended up going out for dinner. I realized that it is actually possible to become friends through such connections.
Hanamori : I’ve been really into murder mysteries lately. The basic idea is to find out the culprit while role-playing, but it requires a large number of people, about 8 people to play. So it’s not just my friends, each of the friends I play with brings their own friends, so I often end up playing with my friends’ friends. That’s when I realized that I can talk normally to people I don’t know (lol).
Kurosawa : That’s true. Surprisingly, I can talk to “friends of friends” normally. As I get older, I feel like I’ve gotten better at communicating like that.
Higashiyama : In my case, it was Yumiri-chan. Her friend Risa Taneda had praised Yumiri as “a very hard-working and good actor,” and she had heard that, so if Taneda says so, then she must be a really good girl. I was wondering what it was. After actually meeting her, I was able to feel how good she was. Because of that opportunity, we were able to become friends smoothly.
Hanamori : I’m happy! I guess I was a “friend of a friend” (laughs).
