Speaking of “time” characters? 3rd place: Akemi Homura from “Madoka Magica”, 2nd place: Izayoi Sakuya from “Touhou Project”, 1st place is… <24th edition>June 10th is Time Memorial Day.

It is said that this is the day when the time was announced by a clock bell for the first time in Japan, as described in the Nihon Shoki.

Characters related to time often appear in anime, such as those who can travel freely through time, have the power to slow down or speed up the flow of time, or have a clear vision of the future.

So Anime! Anime! conducted a reader survey titled “Who’s the ‘Time’ character?”

following on from last year. We received responses from 1,127 people during the survey period from May 29th to June 2nd. There was an almost equal ratio of men and women. The age group was mostly young people, with about 45 percent under 19 years old and about 15 percent in their 20s.
