Upon their appointment, Charavie & Animate Times asked them about their enthusiasm and what they consider when choosing manga, but to dig deeper into the members’ favorite manga, we also conducted an interview about their favorite manga for different situations!
This time we interviewed Noriura, -hotoke-, and Hatsusagi from the younger group. Interviews with Naiko, If, and Yusuke from the older group will be published in October, so please look forward to them!
●Theme: The roots of manga start here! Memorable manga
Riura: My favorite manga is “HUNTER×HUNTER”! The story follows a classic and exciting path in which the main character grows together with his friends, and the complex and cool battle scenes really struck a chord with Riura when he was in elementary school…!! When I look back at it as an adult, there are details that I didn’t notice back then, and it’s a work that I love and enjoy no matter how many times I read it!

●Theme: The bible-like manga that gave me the push I needed
Riura: “World Trigger”! The main character is a simple guy with no special talents or strengths, but he finds his own way of fighting and grows. It’s a passionate work that makes you want to try your best too! It’s heartwarming!!

●Theme: You should read it now! It’s so popular! I’m totally hooked on this manga
Riura: I’m recommending “Ao no Hako,” which will be made into an anime starting in October! It’s a sweet and sour love story that’s pure and student-like and will make your heart flutter, but it’s also full of sports elements, with the main characters taking club activities seriously and aiming to compete in the Inter-High School Championships, so it’s a work chock-full of youthful energy!

Riura-san: I was influenced a lot by the manga and anime I watched when I was little, so I was happy to be able to introduce some of those works! There are still many works that I have not yet encountered, so I would like to know your recommended works after reading this article!
