An interview with Yuki Nakajima, the September 2024 personality on “Lashinban Radio””Lashinban” is an anime shop known for buying and selling used anime goods. “Lashinban Radio” is currently being broadcast in-store to make shopping even more fun!

The personality from July to December 2024 will be Nakajima Yuki, who is known for her roles as Ayase Saki in the TV anime “Stepsister Life,” Ojiuchi Suzuha in “Na Nare Hana Nare,” Kunashiri Iren in “Touseki,” and in the games “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” (as Imai Lisa), “Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku” (as Hinomori Shiho), and “The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage” (as Otokura Yuuki).

This month, Animate Times interviewed Nakajima right after the radio recording. Just before the interview, Nakajima had been appearing at events in Shanghai and Canada. Will the memorable game “Space Channel 5” become an unexpected bridge connecting Nakajima with the world?

And in the customary “Ogiri Corner,” the long-awaited classic romantic comedy theme appeared! What was the shocking line that Nakajima-san said? This time too, he talked a lot about the fun recording!

Nakajima Yuki (hereinafter, Nakajima): It’s still hot and humid, isn’t it…

–Do you have any special ways of dealing with the heat?

Nakajima: Not really… I was using a neck fan, but I heard that if you’re exposed to that wind for too long, you could actually get heatstroke, so it was difficult.

— We have to be careful about a lot of things. I guess we’ll just have to wait for it to get a little cooler…

Nakajima: That’s right… I try to live in a place that is as shaded from the sun as possible!

–That’s the best way to beat the heat. Thank you for recording “Lashinbang Radio” in such heat! I would like to look back on the content this time as well, but first of all, in the “September’s ‘Memories’ Story Diary” you talked about anniversaries in September.

Nakajima: The script said, “September 4th is Kushi Day,” so I said, “I love mitarashi dango and yakitori gizzards!”…but halfway through, we started talking about lemon sours (laughs).

–Speaking of yakitori, it makes you want to have some alcohol too (laughs).

Nakajima: That’s right. I talked about how I’ve been into lemon sours lately, and then I stopped talking about skewers altogether (laughs). And this story isn’t even a memory from September or anything… I’m very sorry… (laughs).

–I think it was interesting to hear Nakajima talk about alcohol!

Nakajima: I’ve always liked highballs and beer, but recently I’ve discovered the deliciousness of lemon sours. I’m really into the trend.

Aside from “Kushi Day”, there was also a talk topic called “Multiplication Table Day” (September 9th). I was asked “Do you have a favorite multiplication table?” but I couldn’t remember (laughs). We ended the conversation with “The first row is easy to say, isn’t it?”

— “Favorite Multiplication” is a killer pass theme that relies on Nakajima’s ability to talk… (laughs).

Nakajima: That’s true (laughs). I didn’t have any episodes about my “favorite multiplication” or multiplication tables… I’d like to know the answer to this episode, so I’d like to hear from you all. If you have a “favorite multiplication,” I’d like to know what it is.

–Just like the multiplication table story, memories of September are difficult. If it were August, there would probably be midsummer events…

中島：そうですよね、9月は行事が多くない印象があります。私の誕生日が9月12日なので、そのお話もしたのですが、特段、エピソードが浮かんで来なくて……（笑）。この業界に入ってからは、バースデーイベントなどでファンの方にお祝いしていただく機会があるのでそのエピソードはあるのですが、それ以外だと全然思い浮かびませんでした。高校生の時に友だちに作ってもらった「じゃがりこタワー」が唯一のおもひでかもしれません。

あと、一人でやっているラジオ（「中島由貴　自由人電波局～ひとなみ」）があるのですが、23歳の誕生日の回で、歌い手のりぶさんのサイン本をいただいたことがありました。りぶさんはずっと好きな歌い手さんなので、今でもそのサイン本を飾っています。

――すごく素敵なおもひで話が飛び出しましたね！

中島：それが唯一のおもひでなんですけどね（笑）。
