ABEMA Anime Festival “Kenichi Suzumura’s Radiobase DUO” Special StageThe “ABEMA Anime Festival” will be held at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower on September 14th (Sat), 15th (Sun), 16th (Mon./Holiday), 21st (Sat), 22nd (Sun), and 23rd (Mon./Holiday), 2024. On September 14th (Sat), a special stage for the radio program “Kenichi Suzumura’s Radiobase DUO,” hosted by Kenichi Suzumura, was held at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO).

On the special stage, TV personality Kenichi Suzumura and guest Tomoaki Maeno appeared on stage. They livened up the stage with talks, games, birthday surprises, and more.

*”Kenichi Suzumura’s Radiobase” is broadcast live on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting’s “Cho! A&G+” from 9pm to 10pm every Tuesday, and archived on ABEMA Video! “Kenichi Suzumura’s Radiobase DUO” is also broadcast on “Cho! A&G+” from 10pm every Friday, and on ABEMA from 1am every Friday!

This was Suzumura’s first event as “Radiobase DUO”, the opening act of the “ABEMA Anime Festival”, and his first visit to Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO). It was all new to him, and he was happy to share his impressions.

Then, guest Maeno took to the stage. As September 12th was Suzumura’s birthday, Maeno gave her a surprise birthday present! The birthday present, which he had thought up carefully, was an original ticket specially made by Maeno. The contents were unique, including “a ticket to casually invite you on the show as a guest,” “a ticket to pinch-hit for a personality,” and “a ticket to listen to the radio in real time with listeners and get excited about it on social media.” Suzumura was impressed and delighted with the original ticket that only Maeno could make.

The first corner was “Mae x Suzu 3 Minute Discussion!”, where they talked for 3 minutes on a theme. They talked about a variety of topics, from current topics like memories of Shinjuku, the town associated with the venue, to Ogiri-like themes. In addition, when the two played the nostalgic game of “Roaring Rock Paper Scissors,” Suzumura lost right away after three games and three losses. Laughter erupted from the audience.

Other projects include “I Love It! I Love It!! Guest Teacher,” in which Maeno becomes the teacher and gives a lesson on his favorite game, “Professional Baseball Spirits,” and “Rajibeki DUO Real,” a game in which listeners submit answers in advance which are the correct answers and Suzumura and Maeno answer them.

At the end of the show, they took a commemorative photo with the fans who had gathered at the venue, and the show ended with a bang.
