It has been revealed that in this film, Daifuku, who also appears in the TV series, will transform into a human and be able to speak!
Comments have arrived from Yuichi Nakamura, who voices the character, and Takuma Terashima, who plays Usayama Satoru, who lives with Daifuku.
Daifuku is a rabbit who lives with Iroha’s classmate Usayama Satoru. Contrary to his cute appearance, Daifuku has a brave personality and is close to Satoru as a best friend. Since the TV series began airing, Daifuku has been attracting attention on social media, with people wondering if Daifuku will speak someday. Finally, it has been revealed that Daifuku will speak in the latest movie, which will be released today on September 13th!
The voice actor who will be providing the character is Yuichi Nakamura. Nakamura is a talented voice actor who has appeared in many popular works such as “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “Mr. Osomatsu,” and “Haikyu!!,” but when asked how he felt when he was chosen to voice Daifuku, he said, “Daifuku was the cutest character I’ve ever played,” revealing that even for someone with over 20 years of voice acting experience, it was a new challenge.
Although he looks cute, Daifuku also has a brave personality and some cool lines, and this film sees a new side to him. When asked what he was conscious of when playing the “handsome” Daifuku, Nakamura said, “I’ve played characters like this before, so I made use of my experience in that aspect, but he also has a cute appearance, so I tried to express the contrast with his voice through sound.” He reflected on how he sought to create a role unique to this film while making use of his past experience.
Furthermore, regarding his relationship with his best friend Satoru, he reminisced, “Satoru is his owner, but Daifuku is like an older brother to Satoru, and Daifuku feels like he’s watching over him, so I tried to use a voice and acting that would convey that feeling.” I can’t wait to hear Daifuku’s voice, which also incorporates the “Wanpuri” from the TV series!
Producer Funakoshi Yuko explained the reason for casting Nakamura, saying, “We had already decided that Daifuku’s character was a ‘cool guy’, and after consulting with the TV series staff, we decided that we wanted Nakamura to play the role. As we considered the role, we decided that it would be best to find someone who could lead the characters of ‘Wanpuri’, so we cast him in this role.” This shows the expectations and trust that Nakamura has for the role.
It was a big surprise that he could now talk, but it was also revealed that Daifuku the rabbit can now take on a human form!

悟君も大福といつか話せたらいいなっていうのはずっと思い描いていたことだったので凄く嬉しかったですが、同時に驚きもありました。悟君は感情が割と表に出てしまいがちな素直な人なので、そういったところが自然に声に乗せられていたら嬉しいですね。
初めて大福と会話するシーンは僕自身も本当に悟君と驚きがシンクロしてる感じがして楽しかったです。中村悠一さんが大福役を演じるという事については、ギャップがありながらもめちゃくちゃハマっているという、ワンダフルなキャスティングだと思います！
悟君と大福の変身フォームについては、設定資料を見た瞬間に、時が止まりましたね。大福とても可愛いですよね！プリキュアと一緒に、そして一番信頼できる大福と共に立ち向かえた事が凄く嬉しかったです！
