The first series of 45th anniversary illustrations, which depict famous scenes from the series, have been released!
At the same time, it has been decided that the Gundam GWX 30th Anniversary Project'' will be held to mark the anniversaries of Mobile Fighter G Gundam”, New Mobile Report Gundam W'', and Mobile New Century Gundam X”.
Furthermore, the exhibition and planning contents of the event “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-” which will be held in 47 prefectures nationwide have been announced.
To commemorate the 45th anniversary, famous scenes from the series have been reconstructed and newly drawn illustrations will be released one after another!
The first is an illustration of the RX-78-2 Gundam from “Mobile Suit Gundam” episode 24 “Mortar Attack! Triple Dom”.
Like the 45th anniversary logo, it uses the moon as a motif, and the layout of Gundam carrying a new moon on its back symbolizes the beginning of the Gundam series.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of “Mobile Fighter G Gundam”, which began broadcasting on TV in 1994, “Mobile Fighter G Gundam” was broadcast as a precursor to an alternative series depicting a world view other than the Universal Century. G Gundam”, Mobile Suit Gundam W'', and Mobile New Century Gundam X” anniversary project “Gundam GWX 30th Anniversary Project” has been decided!
A special commemorative illustration featuring the main characters of the three works, Domon Kash, Heero Yui, and Garrod Lan, dressed in tuxedos has been released.
Various anniversary projects will be carried out over the next three years. In 2024, an anniversary project for “Mobile Fighter G Gundam” is scheduled to be rolled out, and in addition to the 30th anniversary logo with a God Gundam motif, design drawings of new characters under development have also been released.
The event “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-” will be held in 47 prefectures nationwide from June 2024. The event title reflects our desire to create the next future of Gundam together with fans in preparation for 2025, when the Osaka/Kansai Expo will be held.
This event will feature an exhibition of works and products, including a 1/12-sized Gundam statue in colors commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series, as well as sustainability activities such as the Gundam R (Recycling) Strategy.
In “Gundam R Operation”, a special event box for collecting used plastic model runners (frame parts) is equipped with an LED screen, and messages collected through SNS will be displayed as fans’ thoughts.
The message will also be used for measures related to the Osaka/Kansai Expo “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION”, and the “Gundam Cinema Fest”, a project to screen works from the series in theaters, is also planned to be held in conjunction with some of the regions where this project is held. .
Also, in the spring of 2025, a large event called “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-” will be held in Tokyo and Osaka.

An original color 1/12 size “RX-78-2 Gundam” statue (1.5m large) will be on display to commemorate the 45th anniversary!
Through the event, we want to connect the feelings of fans from Japan to the world on a global scale, so we designed the coloring and mark with the motif of the earth as “EARTH COLOR Ver.”.
As part of the sustainability activity “Gundam R Operation”, a special runner collection box (2m large) original to the event was set up.
Equipped with an LED screen on the front of the box, you can enjoy a special video production when you put the runner in the box.
Furthermore, the BOX is also equipped with a mechanism that allows fans’ thoughts to be projected through SNS. The thoughts of fans who cannot attend the event will also be displayed at the event venue.
The collected runners will be used as display materials at future events, and then recycled and turned into new Gunpla and various plastic products.
There will be an exhibition featuring characters who have had memorable confrontations in the Gundam series, giving you a sense of the world and history of the works.
There will also be exhibits that a wide range of fans can enjoy, including dioramas based on life-sized Gundam statues from Tokyo, Shanghai, and Fukuoka, and the latest products.
A message board was set up with the motif of the prefecture where the event was held. You can write your feelings for Gundam on a message card with a “Haro” design and post it on the message board.
The messages received at each venue in 47 prefectures will be collected at the large-scale event “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-” to be held in Tokyo and Osaka in the spring of 2025.
With the aim of fostering a Gunpla community where fans can connect with each other, the exhibition project “Gunpla Circle, stand up! GUNPLA EXHIBITION” will be held starting in August, where groups of multiple people can apply.
The works will be exhibited at some “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-” venues.
