In addition to recreating memorable scenes from the series over the past 10 years as photo spots, the exhibition will also feature a life-size figure of Sakamichi Onoda, which will be shown for the first time at the exhibition. On Friday, August 9th, the day before the exhibition, a preview will be held prior to the opening on Saturday, August 10th. As a commemorative event, Fukushima Jun, who plays Naruko Shokichi, and Ito Kentaro, who plays Tadokoro Jin, will appear on stage for a talk show.

The “TV Anime Yowamushi Pedal 10th Anniversary Festival,” an exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary of the TV anime “Yowamushi Pedal (Yowapeda),” based on the popular manga by Watanabe Wataru, will be held at the EJ Anime Museum in Tokorozawa Sakura Town, Saitama from August 10 to September 23, 2024.
The exhibition will introduce the story of the TV anime “Yowamushi Pedal” to “Yowamushi Pedal LIMIT BREAK” with scenes from theatrical releases. In addition, there will be a life-size figure of “Onoda Sakamichi” on display for the first time, as well as a variety of photo spots, including the final scene with Makishima Yusuke at Minegayama, making this a festival full of highlights.
At the entrance to the exhibition, visitors are greeted by original illustrations of Sakamichi Onoda and Sangaku Manami. Anticipation is building for the lineup that follows the 10-year journey of these men who gave everything to cycling.
In “INTRODUCTION”, a photo spot with an illustration drawn especially for the exhibition suddenly appears. This exhibition is packed with photo spots. There are some interesting photo spots filled with attention to detail, so you won’t be able to stop taking pictures. You can come with someone, or you can look for fellow “Yowamushi Pedal” fans at the venue. We recommend having fun taking photos together. In this area, a mamachari bicycle with a slope is on display. The mamachari bicycle is so detailed that even scratches and dirt are reproduced.
Looking back on the 10-year history and reminiscing about the first season of the anime, you will then move on to the exhibition for seasons 2 to 4, “GRANDE ROAD ~ NEW GENERATION.” In the area where you can look back on the story mainly through stills, you will find the “Uramadozaka Photo Spot” and the “IH Support Photo Spot.”
At the “Uramonzaka Photo Spot” you can actually ride a bicycle and take photos while simulating the Uramonzaka bicycle race with Onoda and Imaizumi.
At the “IH Support Photo Spot,” you can take photos of yourself cheering on the IH members while holding the provided flip charts and fans.
Of course, you can bring your own cheering goods and take original photos to make a great memory. The Midosuji Sho introduction corner is a must-see. The key is to walk while gazing into Midosuji’s eyes. It will make you even creepier, and your love for him will surely grow!
“STORY OF GRANDE ROAD” features standee panels with the image of “cooperation” and a corner introducing Ishigaki and Machimiya, who are indispensable in talking about the first year’s Inter-High. The curtains when moving on to the next exhibit also feature heartwarming scenes and famous quotes, making the detailed production a nice touch.
In the “STORY OF NEW GENERATION” corner of the Inter-High School Championships area for the second year, you can take home Orange Venusaur memos. Why not pick one up as a memento of your visit, or to try your luck?
A Sohoku High School tent will be set up in this area, making it a popular recreation spot where you can check out the small items.
At the “STORY OF GLORY LINE”, you can take photos of everyone at Hakone Gakuen in a water supply style at the “Hakone Gakuen Photo Spot”. You can choose your favorite drink from the ones on the table and take a photo holding it in your hand.
The highlight of this exhibition is the first 1/1 scale figure of Sakamichi Onoda, which is placed at the end of “STORY OF LIMIT BREAK” and the GOAL point. When you see them lined up, you can get a better feel for Sakamichi’s power and talent. “SPIN OFF” is lined with playful exhibits. You can also see “Running! Arakita-kun”.
This is an area where you can take a break and relax after looking back on the 10-year history of the exhibition, which has sometimes brought tears to your eyes. After thoroughly enjoying the various materials such as the background and famous quotes, you can head to the “THEATER” to get your heart warmed again.
The area will feature original edited footage of famous scenes from seasons 1 to 5, and the three-sided screen will give you an overwhelming, moving four-minute experience. The newly recorded voiceovers that play during the intermissions are also a must-listen, making it a feast for the eyes and ears.
キャストやスタッフのサイン＆コメント展示コーナーを抜けるとフォトスポットエリアが登場。ここに辿り着くまでも満足度の高いフォトスポットが並んでいたが、「フォトスポット」と題したエリアも気合い十分。
展覧会の見どころでもある、御堂筋エリアの2箇所目が“キモさ”MAXで登場。穴から手を出し、全身の毛穴から“手が出るほど”勝利を欲する御堂筋を完成させるべく、バシバシ手を出して撮影しよう。御堂筋のキモさを存分に堪能した後は、お風呂でスッキリ。お風呂場に置かれている小物にも各キャラの個性が表れているので、隅々まで注目してほしい。そして最後に「メッセージコーナー」で各校の校旗にメッセージを書いて、展示エリアは終了。
グッズエリアにはX（旧Twitter）にて公開された新規描き下ろしイラストが「展示会オリジナルグッズ」となって多数登場。1会計で5,000円（税込）以上購入すると、オリジナルミニショッパーのプレゼントも。さらに、入場特典として、展覧会描き下ろしイラストを使用したステッカー（全20種）が週替わりで、チケット1枚につきランダムでひとつ配布される。

本トークイベントは、TVアニメ『弱虫ペダル』10周年フェスティバル前日内覧会チケット購入者が特別招待されたもの。福島は赤のトラT、伊藤は総北高校のユニフォームというお馴染みのスタイルで登場し、大きな拍手を浴びる。
『弱ペダ』をきっかけにロードバイクを始めたキャストが多い中、伊藤、福島は今も変わらずロードに乗り続けている。
伊藤はこの日もロードで会場に来たそうで、「ペダルのイベントといえば、ロードで行くのがマスト！」とニッコリ。この日の走行距離は40kmとのことで、「ロードのイベントでは200kmとかが普通。だから、たいしたことはない」とサラリ。
伊藤がロードで駆けつけるのは『弱ペダ』イベントではすっかりお馴染みとなっているため、「お客さんも驚かないよね？」とニヤリとし、会場に総北ジャージのファンを見つけるとうれしそうに手を振るなど、序盤から自由＆ラフなトークを展開し、ファンとのコミュニケーションを楽しんだ。
「アニメが終わってからだいぶ経つのに、熱量を持って応援に駆けつけてくれるのは心強い」と笑みを浮かべた福島。自身にとって鳴子役はとても大事な役なので、「こうしてまた鳴子役でみんなの前でしゃべれるのをありがたく思っています」と心を込めて感謝。
伊藤も「三年生トリオは一足先に高校競技から卒業しているので、ものすごく時間が経っている気がします。そんな中で、ペダルのイベントに呼んでいただけるのは非常にうれしいです。10年前と変わらずに集まってくださることに感謝です！」と笑顔を見せていた。
展覧会はTVアニメ10周年を記念して開催されたもの。伊藤は「ということは、僕たちもロードデビュー10周年ってことだね」としみじみ。実際に一緒に走ることはほとんどなかったが、実は福島と伊藤はロードでもつながりが。
「ペダルの影響を受けてプロの競輪選手になった後輩がいます」と福島。
すると伊藤が「自転車好きが高じて、プロの走りを見に行こうと、ガールズ競輪を見に行って。そこで見た選手の中にその福島くんの後輩がいて（笑）」と告白。
その選手と伊藤は交流があるそうで、「引退後に出会って、今は一緒に走る仲間になっています。この前も佐渡島を一緒に走って」と明かし、プロの走りから田所の気持ちが分かることもあったとし、「演じる前に出会いたかった…」とコメント。会場の笑いを誘っていた。
10年を振り返ると、さまざまな思い出があるが、アニメ化が決定した頃のCDドラマの収録も印象に残っているそう。
「総北のキャストが5人集まって収録しました。売れる前、ヒーローになる前の山下（大輝）くんと一緒に。まさにヒルクライムの人気！」と主人公・坂道役の山下の成長に触れ、「チームとして一致団結するために“総北ファイト！”とやってからレコーディングして、飲みに行ったのを覚えています」とうれしそうに話していた。
当時のことは鮮明に覚えているという福島は「10年、それ以上前の話なのに、スタジオの空気、山下くんの靴下に穴があいていたことまでしっかり覚えています」とニヤニヤ。「そのネタ、こすりすぎだよ！」との伊藤のツッコミにもめげずに、福島は「まだまだこすりますよ」と答え、会場を笑わせた。
「10年前のキャラ、もしくは自分に声をかけるとしたら？」との質問に「“ダジャレはほどほどにしておけよ”と言いたいです（笑）」と苦笑いの福島。鳴子らしさを考えた時に、関西らしさを取り入れたかったそうで、ダジャレを言いまくっていたそう。「こんなに続くと思ってなくて途中から苦しくなって…」とネタ切れを明かし、ほどほどにしておくよう、アドバイスしたいと回答。
伊藤は「アニソンは受け入れろよ、お前の人生を変えてくれるぞ、と言いたいです」とのこと。「よく歌ったよね…」と懐かしむ二人だったが、福島には別の思い出があるようで「ちゃんとした歌詞を歌いたい！僕は合いの手ばっかり。キャラ的には仕方ないけれど、メインメロディーを覚えても、現場で歌わなくていいよって言われる…」としょんぼり。
伊藤も「しかも、あんなに歌ったのにCDになってない！」と不服そうに話したが、自転車仲間と一緒のカラオケでは作中に登場する『ラブ☆ヒメ』の主題歌で、姫野湖鳥（CV：田村ゆかり）が歌う「恋のヒメヒメぺったんこ」で盛り上がるそうで、「卒業後も歌い込んでます！」と話し、会場は大爆笑だった。
展示会の注目ポイントについて福島は「御堂筋のヤバいスポットで写真を撮ってください！」とおすすめ。
伊藤は「等身大の坂道像。なぜ、今まで作っていなかったんだって。塗装前の未完成版しか見ていないので、完成版を見るのが楽しみです！」と自身も期待している様子だった。
グッズ紹介のコーナーでは、「田所の缶パン」の缶を開け、試食。台本にはなかった展開にMCもタジタジだったが、ファンはそんな二人の姿に大喜びしていた。
最後の挨拶で伊藤は「演じてみたいシーンはまだまだたくさんある。また田所迅としてステージに立ったり、ロードバイクにまたがったりしたいなとは思っています」と微笑み、「応援よろしくお願いします！」とこれからの応援も改めてリクエスト。
福島は「またトラTを着てトークができることをうれしく思っています。僕にとって特別な役で特別な作品。自分自身を、人生を変えてくれたアニメが10周年。これからもペダルを好きで応援し続けてくれたらうれしいです！」と呼びかけ、笑いいっぱいのトークイベントを締めくくった。
