This is an original work by BANDAI NAMCO Filmworks Inc.’s in-house production studio, SUNRISE Studios, as part of its original IP (Intellectual Property: intellectual property such as characters) creation.
This time, the outline of the work, the first teaser visual, the first promotional video, character settings, and more have been released.

This work is a coming-of-age story about five high school girls set in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, and depicts the drama of the girls who aspire to become witches as they face various problems and grow as people.
Additionally, magical songs play an important role in the series, with the five main cast members forming the unit Maebashi Witches providing vocals for many of the songs in the series as well as the opening and ending songs. Numerous events are also planned to be held prior to the series airing.
The visual representing the work was created based on the catchphrase of Maebashi City, “A city of water, greenery and poetry.” The first teaser visual is themed on “greenery,” and features the charm of Maebashi City with the Gunma Prefectural Office and the rows of cherry blossoms along the Hirose River in the background.

A very cheerful high school freshman. She loves cameras and aims to take the most emotional photo possible. She jumps on the bandwagon when it comes to trends, but she’s a total beginner. She sees things from a level perspective, and unconsciously changes the world around her as she trains to be a witch.
A girl who loves fashion and cosmetics. She is very sensitive to trends and always gathers information on social media. She has strong likes and dislikes, and is surprisingly foul-mouthed. She is more enthusiastic than anyone else about completing her witch training and making her wish come true.
She is the most sensible person among the Witches. She always sees the situation from a bird’s-eye view, and calmly reprimands Yuina and Azu when they argue. She was born and raised in a wealthy family and attends one of the top high schools in the prefecture. While she is reliable, she also has high ideals and sometimes surprises those around her with her naive and innocent remarks.
She’s a cheerful mood-maker. She’s twice as excited as most people. She and Yuina are a duo of idiots who stir up trouble for everyone around them. Her catchphrase is “Choco-chan Cutter!” Although she behaves freely and unrestrainedly, she sometimes seems absent-minded as if her batteries have run out, and she even falls asleep while working.
He is a cool realist who is always concerned about what others think of him and his own status. His motto is “70 points is better than 100 points.” He doesn’t show his true feelings, and when in doubt, he always follows the majority. He is basically a dry straight man, but he often gets the short end of the stick by the unique members of the group.
A mysterious familiar who scouted the five to become apprentice witches. She seems to want to fulfill the wishes of customers who visit her shop and gather magical power, but her true motives are unknown. She supports the Witches while always making fun of people. She says unnecessary things because she wants to be scolded by the five (mainly Az). When she accumulates magical power, her body sometimes transforms into a selfish one?
At this event, we will be holding an advance screening of the first episode of the series prior to its broadcast.
