The official report of the special talk stage held on March 23rd (Saturday) at the special stage inside the Bandai Namco Group booth at “AnimeJapan 2024” has arrived!
On this stage, Takeo Otsuka, Aoi Koga, and director Yusuke Yamamoto took to the stage to talk about their memories of dubbing and behind-the-scenes stories about the production.
In addition, a viewing video of “God knows…” from the bonus CD included in each Blu-ray BOX volume of this work has been released.
The special stage of the TV anime “SYNDUALITY Noir”, whose final episode was broadcast sequentially from Monday, March 25, 2024 on 6 TV Tokyo network stations, BS Nippon TV, and other channels, will be held on Saturday, March 23, the largest in Japan. It was held on a special stage inside the Bandai Namco Group booth at the “AnimeJapan 2024” anime event.
At the event, Takeo Otsuka, who plays Kanata, Aoi Koga, who plays Noir/Myster, and director Yusuke Yamamoto took to the stage, and after the earliest advance screening of Part A of the final episode, they talked about their memories of dubbing and behind-the-scenes stories of the production. A valuable talk that could only be heard was held.
After the screening of Part A of the final episode, which was watched by Takeo Otsuka who played Kanata, Aoi Koga who played Noir, and director Yusuke Yamamoto, he was first asked about his impressions of Part A, and Koga said, “It was such a powerful movie. I was surprised and heartbroken that it had become so bad!”
At the time they did the dubbing, the footage had not yet been completed, so they were even more impressed. Otsuka commented with equal emotion, Part A was mainly about the battle, but the camera work was so impressive that I couldn't get enough of it.'' Director Yamamoto made us laugh with his playful comment, Mr. Koga plays both Mystel and Noir, so it was interesting to watch the footage again (thinking that the cast is the same).”
Next, regarding the growth of Kanata and Noir, which is one of the main points of this work, Koga answered, I think (Noir)'s eyes have changed.'' As the unexpected developments continued, and Noir himself faced his own inner conflicts, I felt that a powerful will began to dwell in his eyes.”
Otsuka reflected, “There was a synergistic effect of growing together with Noir, who had lost his memory, and I don’t think (Kanata) would have grown this far if he didn’t have Noir as his partner.” .
When asked about the character’s growth, director Yamamoto said, I was conscious of trying to get people to gradually see the character in a more positive light, rather than having a negative impression of him being flat” or crank.'' In the B part, which I haven’t shown yet, I think the ending made you feel that Kanata became a drifter and Noir became a magus,” he said confidently.
Next, regarding a scene that he has fond memories of, Mr. Otsuka said, “I have a lot of fond memories of the beginning of the story because I struggled to figure out how to act as Kanata.I also remember the dubbing process at that time quite clearly.” Ta.
Koga revealed, It was difficult for me to capture the noir character in the early dubbing, and (the director) told me to make it more plain”, adding, “In the first season, I finally got the noir role.” Just when I thought I had figured it out, a new character named Mystel appeared… (lol),” he said, revealing the hardships he experienced during the recording process.
Next, regarding his favorite scene, Mr. Otsuka mentioned the scene in episode 7 where Kanata and Ciel fight while singing together, and asked director Yamamoto, “Did you think about that scene from the beginning?” replied, “It’s a kind of royal way to fight while singing!”
「多少大変でもやろうと思っていました」と熱く語り、山本監督にとっても思い入れの強いエピソードであることがわかった。古賀さんは「私は無類のムートン好きなんです。イケおじ、最高ですよね！」とムートン愛を炸裂させて場を和ませた。
「トキオさんの相棒なのもポイントが高い」と語ると、山本監督は「トキオの相棒が美少女ではよくないと思ったので（笑）、あえてトキオを止める役割として、ムートンにしました」と明かした。
その後、ゲームや主題歌、商品の新情報が続々と発表された後、最後にファンへメッセージを贈った。古賀さんは「カナタと色々な経験をしてきたノワールの人間関係の変化や、感情の成長がとても面白いです。映像も大迫力なので、最後まで放送で見届けて頂ければと思います！」。
大塚さんは「去年の「AnimeJapan 2023」から、本当に長い間この作品に携わらせて頂いたので、寂しい思いもありますが、今後も色々と展開していきますので、まずは最終話を見てから、隅々まで楽しんで頂けたらと思います！」。
山本監督は「ロボットアクションなど、この作品でやりたいことはたくさんありましたが、一番やりたかったのは、まだ何者でもないノワールがノワールになったり、一人の青年がドリフターになったりするところでした。ぜひ最終回をご覧になって、確かめて頂けたらと思います！」と力強く語った。
最後は大きな拍手に見送られてステージを去り、本イベントは大盛況の内に幕を閉じた。
