“Chi. -About the Movement of the Earth-” official PV and OP/ED songs released! Additional voice actors Katsuyuki Konishi, Yuichi Nakamura, and Saya Niimi announced | First episodes will be broadcast in a rowThe official PV for the TV anime “Chi. -About the Movement of the Earth-“, which will start airing on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:45 pm, has been released!

This PV features the first performance of excerpts from the songs “Kaiju” by Sakanaction and “Aporia” by Yorushika.

Additional voice actors were also announced: Katsuyuki Konishi will play Okuji, Yuichi Nakamura will play Badeni, and Saya Niimi will play Yolenta.

The newly released promotional video depicts the grandiose story of Rafal, a child prodigy who is fascinated by the beauty and possibilities of the heliocentric theory, as Hubert says, “I’m going to move the Earth now,” and whose genius-like intellectual curiosity is stimulated as he risks his life to prove it.

Sakanaction’s “Kaiju” and Yorushika’s “Aporia” further highlight the nobility of Rafael, who, while strongly feeling the presence of the heretic examiner Novak who will do anything to protect the order of this world, does not compromise his own beliefs and pursues the truth that lies beyond “earth,” “knowledge,” and “blood.”

We also see people who inherited Rafał’s fiery conviction and stand up against the truth of this world. The promotional video gives us a glimpse of a part of the heart-wrenching story spun by people who have no doubt about the moment when, as Hubert says, “common sense is overturned and beauty and logic collide.”

A substitute fighter. He has excellent eyesight, but is afraid to look at the sky. He has a very negative mindset. He has no expectations of this world and hopes to go to heaven as soon as possible.

–What were your thoughts when you read the original story and script?

I remember being impressed by the way he risked his life to research the heliocentric theory.

His determination and passion made my soul tremble. I can’t put it into words, but I wondered if there was anything inside of me that I could pour so much passion into. Also, the passing of a baton of feelings is amazing.

–About the role of Okuji

I think he has a rather negative personality. I wonder what kind of chemical reaction will occur when he comes into contact with various people and the Copernican theory, and whether he will grow or not. I like Okuji as a person.

–A message to your fans?

My favorite “Chi.” is going to be made into an anime! And I will be playing the role of Okuji! Yay! I hope everyone will enjoy the world of “Chi.” with their own eyes and ears.

And then, please pass the baton to the next person.

A monk. In search of the “best moment of his life,” he pursued “knowledge” purely without following the rules of the church, which resulted in his eyes being burned and he was demoted to a rural village.

–What were your thoughts when you read the original story and script?

How did people who did not have the knowledge that we now take for granted realize and think at the time, and how were they able to live without regretting their actions?

I had the sensation of vividly seeing past events that I had only been able to imagine.

-About the role you played, Badeni

He seems to be a confident person, but as I played the role, I began to feel that there is more to him than that. He doesn’t act because he is confident, but like all the other characters I’ve seen so far, he may have felt some kind of destiny… I don’t know the truth, but it was interesting to play Badeni, whose character changes in subtle ways little by little.

–A message to your fans?

It’s a grand story. But it’s a work that makes you realize how amazing the power of people to act on their intellectual curiosity is. Anyway, please watch it!

Astronomy research assistant. She was admitted to a facility run by a leading cosmologist, but is despairing because she is not allowed to conduct research to her satisfaction because she is a woman.

–What were your thoughts when you read the original story and script?

The emotions and passion that the characters face are so intense that I took my time to read through the story.

The emotions of each and every character were conveyed so vividly and built up until I was drawn into the charm of the work with a heavy weight on my chest that made it hard to breathe.

–About the character you played, Yolenta

I imagined all sorts of things and how special they must have been to her, things that I had taken for granted.

The more I imagined it, the more intense the pain and joy she felt became, so I approached each dubbing session with a sense of challenge.

–A message to your fans?

I will be playing the role of Yolenta. My name is Saya Niimi.

I still can’t believe I have had the opportunity to be a part of a work that is loved by so many people. I

hope that the moving story of her risking her life will touch everyone’s hearts.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.
