To save him, Shizuku stops Tokiyuki from trying to play Sugoroku herself, and offers to play in his place. This is because his opponent is using divine power to manipulate the numbers on the dice.
Since divine power is also affected by mental disturbance, the opponent verbally tries to provoke Shizuku in an attempt to disturb her mind. Although Shizuku is not easily shaken by such things, she judges that she will lose to an opponent with stronger divine powers than her if she continues like this.
