“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a manga by Koyoharu Gotouge that has been serialized in Shonen Jump since 2016. It is the story of a young boy, Tanjiro Kamado, who loses his family to demons one day, and whose only surviving sister, Nezuko, is also turned into a demon. In order to return his sister to human form and defeat the demon that took his family, he embarks on the path of “demon hunting.”
When Tanjiro was devastated after his family was taken by demons, he was encouraged by the Water Pillar, Giyu Tomioka, to embark on the path of demon slaying. After further training, he mastered the Hinokami Kagura and grew to the point of defeating the Upper Rank demons with his friends. Furthermore, Tanjiro became so strong that he even had a birthmark.
In “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc,” he deals a massive blow to the emotions of Upper Rank Four with his “Blood-Exploding Blade” stained with Nezuko’s blood, and after a fierce battle, he successfully cuts off Hantengu’s neck.
In “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Pillar Training Arc,” which began airing in May, Tanjiro was never arrogant about his own strength, always had a smile on his face when interacting with his comrades, and was positive about the tough training he undertook by the Pillars.
