“Guilty Gear” is a fighting game series by Arc System Works, the first of which was released in 1998. It was created with the goal of expressing speedy and flashy battles between superhumans in an anime style, and is characterized by its unique characters and high degree of freedom in offense and defense. The latest installment in the series, “GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-“, has a total user base of over 2.5 million and is gaining popularity around the world.

“GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS” is the first TV anime in the series to be a new development. The teaser visual features Sol Badguy and Sin Kiske, two of the series’ most iconic characters, and a mysterious girl standing in the background. It gives a glimpse into the new story of “GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-“.

Animation will be handled by Sanzigen, who has worked on numerous CG animations and produced the original music video for “Find Your One Way,” the theme song for protagonist Sol Badguy in GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-. The director will be Morikawa Shigeru, who worked on the Argonavis AXIA film series, and the script will be written by Kaihou Norimitsu, who has worked on the Guilty Gear series. Additionally, Mizushima Seiji, known for the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Fullmetal Alchemist series, will serve as associate producer.

It was also revealed that a stage event for the work will be held at Anime Expo 2024, which will be held in Los Angeles, USA from July 4th to July 7th. A panel session will be held at the venue with screenwriter Kaiho, associate producer Mizushima, and producer of GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- Miyauchi Ken.
