The teaser visual has been released, along with the main staff and cast. To commemorate the anime adaptation, congratulatory comments and illustrations from the original author, Ayano Takeda and Mushu, have been published on the official website and official X, which were launched today.

The illustration shows the main characters, Kana and Mizuki, running along a seaside road with cherry blossoms falling all around, foreshadowing the beginning of youth.
This work is the story of Kana, who lives on the small island of Tonarushima with a population of 600, who joins the broadcasting club at high school and deepens her love of reading aloud with her friends. This is a youth story that depicts the growth of high school students’ hearts as expressed by Ayano Takeda of “Sound! Euphonium”, and is delicately drawn by up-and-coming author Mushu.
It has been decided that Fujidera Mitsunori will play the role of Haruyama Kana, and Shimabukuro Miyuri will play the role of Usui Mizuki!
The director is Ayumu Uwano, the series composer is Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, the character designer is Hikaru Aine, and the animation will be handled by Studio Bind, the studio behind “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.”
I’m very happy that it’s being made into an anime. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me so far!
I would be happy if this would encourage more people to read it.
“Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku” is a manga about a broadcasting club, so it contains a lot of descriptions of voices. I think it must be very difficult for the voice actors to perform, but as a viewer, I’m looking forward to actually hearing the readings in the work.
I’m so happy that the anime adaptation will allow me to see everyone alive and hear their voices. I can really feel their lives. Thank you so much! I’m looking forward to experiencing a new world through the anime!
I will be playing the role of Haruyama Kana. My name is Fujidera Mitsunori.
When I heard the results of the audition, I was truly surprised and my heart was filled with the desire to work harder.
I feel very honored and humbled to have the opportunity to be involved in such a wonderful production.
I am currently a high school student just like Kana-chan, and I found a lot of empathy in the original work.
I will do my best to work with Kana-chan as she grows through her activities in the broadcasting club, so please look forward to it.
Looking back on the past, I only have bitter memories, so I wanted to keep my school days buried.
However, when I first read “Flowers Bloom, Like Ashura,” the sheer realism of the announcement script brought back waves of memories from my student days.
I will face my own past, believing that it will serve as fertilizer for this work, and I will do my best to read the story and to be truly close to Mizuki.
I’m looking forward to playing Mizuki, who brightens up those around her like the sun. Thank you.
The entire staff is working hard to bring this wonderful original work to life!
I hope many people will see it.
TV anime adaptation scheduled for 2025!
Hana Haruyama, who lives on Tonakijima, a small island with a population of 600, loves reading aloud so much that she holds reading sessions for the children of the island. Mizuki Usurai, who senses the power of Hana’s readings to attract people, invites her to join the broadcasting club, of which he is the president.
“Tell me your true wish, and I’ll grant it.”
“I want to join the broadcasting club.”
Having decided to join the club, Kana experiences many “firsts” with the members of the broadcasting club, deepening her love of reading aloud…
