On her way home one day, Haru (Chizuru Ikewaki), an ordinary high school girl, rescues a beautiful black cat from being hit by a truck. Then, her black cat Rune (Takayuki Yamada) suddenly stood up and politely thanked him and left. Haru is surprised by the unexpected development that her cat is talking, but according to her mother (Kumiko Okae), it appears that she had insisted that she talked to cats even when she was young… .

That night, the cat king (Tetsuro Tamba) from the land of cats appeared before Haru. The Cat King says he wants to “repay” Haru for saving his son. As the Cat King had declared, “The Cat’s Return” begins the next morning, but it’s only a little annoying for Haru. However, the Cat King doesn’t care about that and decides to take Haru as Rune’s wife…!

While Haru is confused, he hears a mysterious voice from somewhere saying, Go to the cat office.'' When Haru visits the Cat Office” under the guidance of Muta (Tetsu Watanabe), a white cat he met at a voice, he finds his master Baron (Yoshihiko Hakamada) and partner Toto (Yosuke Saito) waiting for him. Ta. After hearing Haru’s story, Baron advises Haru not to lose sight of himself, but right after that, Haru is taken away to the land of cats…!?
