–Please tell us your impressions of the songs you were in charge of, your attachments to them, and your memories from those days.
Since I was little, I’ve been listening to and singing a lot of Oda-san and Offcourse’s songs at home and in the car, and every day I listen to the CDs I had at home and the Offcourse best album “i” that I got as a Christmas present when I was 14. It was played on a CD radio-cassette player.
I was hesitant because I like it, but I thought that opportunities like this would not come around very often in the future, so I chose the song.
――Are there any other songs that you have special feelings for or that you would like to sing?
This time I chose songs that I have a lot of fondness for, but I think it would be interesting to try songs that I’m not familiar with.
Every time I record a song, I worry about the difficulty and breadth of expression, but it’s really fun to be able to touch a world I’ve never encountered before through the song.
If there is an opportunity like this again, I think that such an option may be an option.
――ご担当曲への印象や、思い入れ、当時の思い出などを教えてください。
大袈裟でなく、誰しもが知っている名曲……本当に緊張しました。何度も耳にした曲だからこそ、印象だけで覚えてしまっていそうで、これはしっかり聴き直して、沢山研究、練習しなければな、と。
――発売を楽しみにしている方に向けて、メッセージをお願いいたします。
前回と違い、今回は勢いよりも感情を前に出して、色んなことを思いながら歌わせていただきました。皆様の感情に少しでも触れられたら嬉しく思います。
――本作のアルバムシリーズのご参加が決まった時のご感想をお聞かせください。
子ども時代に何度も聞いていた曲を、しかも音源で出していただけるということでとても心が躍りました。憧れも、懐かしさも、嬉しさもあり、初めての感情でした。
――発売を楽しみにしている方に向けて、メッセージをお願いいたします。
皆様の中には「初めて聴く曲だ！」と思われる方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。しかしどの曲も日本の音楽シーンに燦然と輝く名曲ばかりです。「懐メロ」なんて言葉では勿体無い、今を生きる我々の心にも深く深く刺さる名曲ばかりです。僕たちの歌声を通じて、当時の人たちが感じた幸せ、切なさ、感動を追体験いただければ、それ以上の幸せはありません。どうぞお楽しみください。
――本作のアルバムシリーズのご参加が決まった時のご感想をお聞かせください。
洋画の吹き替え作品などで劇中歌を歌うことは多いのですが、今回のように誰もが知っている名曲をコピーするのは初めての経験で、正直自分につとまるか不安でいっぱいでした。
――ご担当曲への印象や、思い入れ、当時の思い出などを教えてください。
この『恋人』という曲は学生時代の友人がよくカラオケで歌っていた曲で、その友人も歌がうまかったので、私では無理だろうと半ば歌うのを諦めていた曲でした。
しかし今回このようなチャンスを頂けたので、思い切ってチャレンジしてみました。
――あらためて、歌唱をしてみた印象やご感想をお伺いさせてください。
カバー曲は原曲のアーティストさんのイメージが強く、無意識のうちにその歌い方に寄せようとしてしまう所があると思うので、自分の発声の仕方を忘れずに歌う事をこころがけました。原曲とは真逆の歌い方になった気がしています。
――発売を楽しみにしている方に向けて、メッセージをお願いいたします。
今回参加させて頂いておりますが、自分もファンの1人として発売を楽しみにしております！個人的には神尾さんが歌う『三日月』が非常に気になっております。素敵な曲ばかり！皆さん！是非聴いて下さい！
――ご担当曲への印象や、思い入れ、当時の思い出などを教えてください。
僕の大好きなGLAYさんのSOUL LOVEをカバーさせて頂けることになって震えました。
小学校の頃からずっと大好きなGLAY。一つ一つの楽曲に思い出という名の人生が詰まっています。
もちろんSOUL LOVEも大好きな曲です。この曲を聴くと学生時代MDで作ったGLAYBESTを登下校で聞きまくってた日々、部屋にこもって歌いまくってた青春時代が蘇ります。
――発売を楽しみにしている方に向けて、メッセージをお願いいたします。
音楽の力は本当にすごいです。名曲が名曲として生まれたのにはきっと意味があって、一人一人に違った思い出を作ってくれます。
そんな名曲たちをカバーという形で皆さんの好きな誰かが歌った、そんなアルバムです。
