[Notice from the editorial department]
This is a sudden change, but we have decided to end this series with the publication of the 12th issue.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the readers who have read this book so far and to Mr. Takada for serializing it.
*We apologize for the delay in publishing this article due to an error on the part of the editorial department.
Hey everyone, it’s been a while! This is Yuki Takada. I have some free time, but how was your time?
I recently purchased a hot plate and have been enjoying various things piping hot.
The photo, from top left, includes okonomiyaki, stir-fried vegetables and fried potatoes and king king king mushrooms in butter and soy sauce, chijimi, and kawara soba.
The main reason I decided to buy a hot plate was because I wanted to enjoy okonomiyaki at home with my mother, who loves okonomiyaki, and okonomiyaki is definitely the number one item in our household.
That moment when you eat freshly made food while fussing. Also, I’m very happy to have this with plum wine, which I’ve been getting into recently. When you come across something delicious, it makes your heart melt.
Now, as some of you may already know, this is the final installment of this column, “Hi Trip.”
I feel a little disappointed, but thanks to this opportunity to tell everyone about the things I love, I was able to get to know more about myself, and it also gave me an opportunity to learn more about myself.
I’m happy to be able to express my gratitude to everyone, and I hope to be able to enjoy it until the end, so I appreciate your continued support!
Final episode. In the end, I was worried about what theme to write about, but I decided to choose this theme.
The last trip is “ local ”!
My hometown is Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It seems like yesterday that when I moved to Tokyo, I was surprised to find that familiar restaurants such as Shisan Udon'',
Joyful”, Croquette Club'',
Trial”, and “Nafco” were not nearby. (It seems that some stores don’t have it at all.)
We used to get on the bus from the back, and when I was a student, I thought everyone was taking “0th period/morning extracurricular”. I didn’t even know that the local “Coming of Age Ceremony” was so famous.
It may be a strange feeling, but every time I learn about a hometown that has things that we don’t have here, or a hometown that doesn’t have something that we have here, I feel strangely fond of it.
The familiar scenery seems to calm the mind, making it a place you want to return to regularly. Let me introduce you to a wonderful shop that I found when I returned to my hometown the other day.
This is “Aozora Mian”, a handmade soba restaurant.
The restaurant is located near Hiraodai, a tourist spot with limestone caves and other attractions, and is surrounded by rice fields. From the parking lot, go down Tech-Tech Hill and walk along the narrow path that will lead to the store.
For a moment, I was nervous and wondered if this was the right road for me, but at a nice timing (?) a sign came into view and I felt relieved right away. This is the store we arrived at.
It’s already delicious. (picture?)
As you take off your shoes at the entrance and enjoy the gentle feel of the tatami, you will be enveloped in a sense of security that will make you feel as if you have returned to your parents’ home, and it will be very calming. Here are the soba noodles I ordered.
Look, it’s delicious. (Yeah)
The hand-made soba is firm and firm with cold water and tastes great when it goes down your throat. The tempura was also crispy, and the chikuwa tempura in particular was very delicious, with a crispy outer batter and fluffy chikuwa inside.
And there’s good news for those who own dogs. Surprisingly, this restaurant has only one room where you can eat with your dog. (applause)
There is also a menu specifically for dogs, so if you have a dog, it might be a good idea to visit with them.
I will eat delicious food, breathe in the delicious local air, and work hard here (Tokyo) again. I love my hometown, which gives me such mysterious power.
So, this is the last trip I’ve brought to you about my hometown, and we’re finally nearing the end.
In addition, I would like to be able to share the things that left an impression on me when I returned home through my recently started Instagram account!
Thank you to everyone who has read this column at least once.
It was a very valuable experience for me to receive letters with my impressions, to receive goods with Hi-Trip motifs, and above all to be able to write about things I like.
The photos you took for the column colored this place until the end.
I would be happy if it became a place where everyone who supported me could enjoy it from various perspectives.
Well then everyone! Thank you very much until now!
Relax and take a trip somewhere again.
