In addition, a special event, “45th Anniversary of the Series! Doraemon Movie Festival,” was announced.
The teaser video begins with the 45th anniversary logo of the movie, featuring a new Doraemon in artistic attire wearing a beret and holding a brush. “What kind of story does this picture tell?” Nobita lets his imagination run wild as he imagines the world inside the picture. Using Doraemon’s secret gadget, the “light that goes inside,” he enters the world inside the picture!
Beyond the painting he jumped into was the magnificent medieval European world of Arturia. What kind of adventure awaits Doraemon and his friends? And what secrets are hidden in this world? Look forward to meeting new friends and a thrilling, epic story!
The video also shows the friends that Doraemon and his friends meet in the painting: Claire, a girl from the mysterious country of Arturia; Milo, a boy who lives in the Principality of Arturia and is good at drawing; and Chai, a little devil with wings. Claire
A girl from Arturia, a mysterious country depicted in a painting. She appears before Doraemon and his friends by chance, and they embark on an adventure together.
Milo
A boy who lives in the Principality of Arturia and is a childhood friend of Claire’s, he continues to paint every day, aiming to be like his late father, who was also an artist.
Chai
A small devil with wings who appeared with Claire. He loves chocolate.
I am directing a Doraemon movie for the first time in 12 years. I am excited to be back in the world of adventure with Doraemon and friends.
In this movie, Doraemon goes on an adventure inside a painting, but even though the subject is art, there is nothing serious about it. It is a story that everyone from small children to adults can enjoy without having to think too hard about it.
There’s laughter, tears, emotion, action, mystery and plenty to enjoy, so please look forward to it!

A special event called “45th Anniversary of the Series! Doraemon Movie Festival” will be held, where you can enjoy all the Doraemon movies in theaters! The movies to be screened will be decided by votes from fans, and it will be a special event where customers can participate.
Of the 43 films released so far, the five selected by vote will be screened for a limited time at 93 cinemas nationwide from mid-January to early February 2025. The voting period is about one month from Friday, September 27th to Thursday, October 31st, and votes are being accepted on a special page on the film’s official website!
The films to be screened in theaters will be announced at a later date. This will be a rare opportunity to see past Doraemon movie masterpieces on the big screen, so be sure to check it out!
To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the movie and the 90th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio’s birth, the official Doraemon YouTube channel (“Official Doraemon / Fujiko F. Fujio Channel”) has been revamped! The revamped YouTube channel will not only provide the latest information on “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Picture World Story,” but also various other Doraemon-related content!
In addition, to commemorate the renewal, a live streaming event will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. today (Friday, September 27th).
