Along with the introduction of the second season, a teaser visual and the first teaser PV for the second season were also released. Additional voice actors were announced, including Yuya Uchida, Ryutaro Okiayu, and Kikuko Inoue, and their comments have also arrived.
The first season was a moving one, as it showed how Miyo, a girl who lacked confidence due to being abused by her stepmothers, moved the heart of the lone elite soldier Kiyotaka with her purity, and began to face the self she had been avoiding. In the second season, the conflict over the “Usuba blood” that flows through Miyo reaches a new stage, and the love between the two is put to the test.

New characters appear in the teaser PV! Uchida Yuya will play Amamizu Nao, the man who says the meaningful words to Miyo, “My beloved daughter.” Kiyoka’s father, Hisado Masakiyo, will be played by Okiayu Ryotaro, and her mother, Hisado Fuyu, will be played by Inoue Kikuko.

I am very honored to be playing the role of Amamizu Nao.
I loved you honestly, and I swept away everything to protect my pure, unblemished love. That’s why I will never forgive you.
I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to record with Noriko Hidaka.
Even though I thought I was white, when the place next to me was transparent I could see my own dirt more clearly, and I instinctively felt that my mission as a tainted person was to protect this purity at all costs.
★As with the first season, the series will be produced by Kinema Citrus, which has worked on “Made in Abyss,” “The Rising of the Shield Hero,” and the “Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight” series.
The director is Yudai Kubota, who has worked on such projects as “Grumpy Bear” (Director) and “ID:INVADED” (Assistant Director), and who brings an edgy perspective to his work in a wide range of genres, including not only anime but also music video production. He is joined by Masayuki Kojima, who has directed numerous works over his long career spanning nearly 40 years, including “Forest of Piano” and “Made in Abyss”.
The music is by Evan Call, who has worked on a wide range of projects from animation to live-action, including “Furieren’s Funeral” and “The 13 Lords of the Kamakura.” Together with the experienced production team, he will depict an even more complex web of human relationships and intensifying battles between “superpowers.”
