The teaser visual and the promotional video for the film have been released! Comments from Director Tatsuya Ishihara and voice actors Mutsumi Tamura, Yuki Kuwahara, and Maria Naganawa have also arrived.

Along with Kanna’s meaningful line, “Bye-bye, Kobayashi,” the image shows her holding hands with someone and heading off somewhere, creating a different atmosphere from previous Maid Dragon images.
“Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” is a heartwarming home comedy based on the original work by Cool Kyou Shinja-sensei about the interspecies communication between humans and the dragon girl Tohru, who ends up working as a maid at the Kobayashi family home due to an unexpected turn of events. This is a new movie following the first season of the TV anime “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” produced by Kyoto Animation in 2017 and the second season “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S” in 2021.
The film is directed by Tatsuya Ishihara, who also directed Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S.
The cast will continue to be the same as in the TV anime version, with Tamura Mutsumi playing Kobayashi, a single office worker who is full of love for maids, Kuwahara Yuki playing Thor, whose life is saved by Kobayashi and who falls in love with her so much that she decides to live with her as a maid, and Naganawa Maria playing Kanna, a dragon girl who was banished from her flock of dragons because she loved to play pranks and ended up living with Kobayashi’s family.
The decision to release the film in theaters was announced during the “Kyoto Animation 2025 New Release Announcement” broadcast on Kyoto Animation’s official YouTube channel. Congratulatory video comments from Mutsumi Tamura, Yuki Kuwahara, and Maria Naganawa have arrived.

Making an anime is hard, so I wonder if a third season is really that difficult…?
I thought the audience would be waiting forever! But then, to my surprise, there was a Maid Dragon movie!!! It was so unexpected that I was shocked (lol). When I saw the teaser visual, it had a very serious atmosphere…!
So this isn’t the usual warm and cozy everyday life? I’m saying goodbye to Kobayashi-san?! What does that mean?! I was in a state of panic.
But if you’re a good customer, you’ll figure it out, right? That’s what it comes down to! I’m really looking forward to reading the script! I hope you’ll all look forward to it being released!
“Hey humans! I’ve come to see you again!!” That’s the face of Thor that came to mind. The powerful battle scenes, the delicate changes in the characters’ expressions… No matter how many times I watch Maid Dragon, there’s always something new to discover, and it’s really made with great care and detail.
