“PUI PUI Molcar” is a stop-motion animation that features healing, friendship, adventure, and crazy action as the Molcars unfold in a world where guinea pigs have become cars. Since its broadcast began in 2021, its cuteness and the uniqueness of having actual guinea pigs voice the Molcars have captivated children and adults alike, sparking a Molcar boom worldwide. And in 2024, a completely new CG animation movie will be released!
The director is Mankyu (“Sumikko Gurashi the Movie: The Pop-up Picture Book and the Secret Child”), the script is by Yuko Kakihara (series composition and scriptwriter for the “Cells at Work!” series), and the animation is by Monster’s Egg, an up-and-coming CG animation studio. And Tomoki Misato, who created the original story and directed the first season of the TV series, is in charge of overall supervision, bringing you a more powerful world of Molcar.
