B Komachi is an idol group formed to officially carry on the spirit of the “original B Komachi,” the group to which Ai, the legendary idol who appears in [Oshi no Ko], belonged. In this film, the group consists of Ruby, played by Saito, Arima Kana, played by Hara, and MEMcho, played by Ano.
Saito, who will be a member of the idol group “=LOVE” until 2023 and has had a brilliant career as an idol, including serving as the group’s center; Hara, who made her debut in the entertainment industry as a child actor in 2003 and has been in high demand as an actress in various productions, making this her first attempt at idol work; and Ano, who has since worked as an idol and is now active in a wide range of fields as a talent, actor, voice actor and artist.The three, who have all taken completely different paths, have collaborated to take on singing and dancing as “B Komachi.”
The songs that appear in the film were specially written for this film by sound creator Tanaka Keito, who has worked on songs by Takahashi Rie and BiSH, and up-and-coming Vocaloid producers SEE and Fururi, who are part of PuzzleProject, a project that supports artists’ activities by discovering artists, mainly young Vocaloid producers, and combining the musicality and songs of the artists with Sony Music’s solutions.
The dance choreography was done by yurinasia, who has also worked on the music videos for SnowMan’s “Brother Beat” and Vaundy’s “Hanauran,” as well as the opening theme for the NHK morning drama “Tora ni Wings.”
The idol costumes that will adorn the three of them will be designed by Aya Narita, who has worked on costumes for various idols, including Ringo Musume and NANIMONO, and is highly popular among idol fans, making for a powerful and luxurious lineup.
In the future, songs sung by B-Komachi will be distributed and music videos will be released. In addition, behind-the-scenes shots and making-of videos will be posted on the official SNS accounts of “Oshi no Ko” (X, Instagram, and TikTok), and video content will be released on the official YouTube channel. The first video will be posted on Wednesday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m.
