The story is about Kana, who lives on the small island of Tonarushima with a population of 600, joining the broadcasting club at high school and deepening her love of reading aloud with her friends. This is a coming-of-age story in which the up-and-coming author Mushu delicately depicts the growth of a high school student’s heart as expressed by Ayano Takeda of “Sound! Euphonium”.
Along with the announcement of the TV anime adaptation, a teaser visual was released. It depicts Kana and Mizuki running along a seaside road with cherry blossoms falling all around, an illustration that suggests the beginning of youth.
The cast for this work was also announced. It has been decided that Fujidera Mitsunori will play the role of Haruyama Kana, and Shimabukuro Miyuri will play the role of Usui Mizuki.
Furthermore, information on the main staff involved in the production was also released. It was revealed that the director will be Ayumu Uwano, the series composition will be Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, the character design will be Hikaru Aine, and the animation will be handled by Studio Bind, which worked on “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation”.
Upon the decision to make the series into an anime, congratulatory comments and illustrations from the original author Takeda Ayano and Mushu, as well as enthusiasm from Fujidera & Shimabukuro, and Director Uwano, have arrived. These have also been published on the official website and official X, which were launched today.
I ‘m very happy that it’s being made into an anime. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me so far!
I hope that this will encourage more people to read it.
“Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku” is a manga about a broadcasting club, so it’s a work with a lot of descriptions of voices. I think it must be very difficult for the voice actors to perform, but as a viewer, I’m looking forward to actually hearing the readings in the work.
I’m so happy that the anime adaptation will allow me to see everyone alive and hear their voices. I can really feel their lives. Thank you so much! I’m looking forward to experiencing a new world through the anime!
I will be playing the role of Haruyama Kana. My name is Fujidera Mitsunori.
When I heard the results of the audition, I was really surprised and my heart was filled with the desire to work harder.
I am very honored and humbled to be able to be involved in such a wonderful work.
I am currently a high school student, just like Kana, and there were many things I could relate to when reading the original work.
I will do my best to work with Kana as she grows through her activities in the broadcasting club, so I hope you will support me.
Looking back on my past, I have only bitter memories, so I wanted to put a lid on my school days.
However, when I first read “Flowers Bloom, Like a Demon,” the realism of the announcement script brought back waves of memories of my school days. I will
face my own past, believing it will be fertilizer for this work, and do my best to read aloud and to be truly close to Mizuki. I am looking forward to
playing Mizuki, who shines brightly on those around her like the sun. Thank you for your support.
The entire staff is working hard to adapt this wonderful original work into a film!
We hope that many people will watch it.
