The story takes place in a world where there are “gates,” passages that connect another dimension to the present world, and where there are people with special abilities called “hunters.” One day, Mizushino Shun, the lowest-ranked hunter known as the weakest weapon of humanity, suddenly gains the power to “level up” on his own. Overcoming numerous challenges, Shun rises from “weakest” to “strongest.”
A dozen years have passed since the sudden appearance of “Gates,” passages connecting another dimension and the present world, and humans with superhuman powers known as “Hunters” have appeared in the world. On his deathbed, Shun decides to accept the quest, and he becomes the only one who “levels up”—
