The latest film in the series, “Punishment,” will be released on Friday, September 27, 2024, and will be screened in 4DX for the first time in a Japanese release!
The release of a Japanese dubbed version has also been announced, and comments from the dubbing cast members, Rikiya Koyama, Takahiro Sakurai, Setuji Sato, and Jun Fukuyama, have been made public.

4DX, a special immersive screening format, is the perfect way to experience the scale of the action, which is said to be the biggest in the series’ history. With the motion chair function that moves in sync with the images, you can experience Ma Dong-seok’s authentic boxing action with your whole body.
When the film was released in Korea, it garnered rave reviews, such as, “Everything was great. Watching it in 4DX felt like I was sitting in a full-body massage chair,” and “Every time Detective Ma’s fists fisted, my stress floated away with it!”
The 4DX version poster visual that has been released leaves a strong impression with a close-up of Detective Ma’s fist as he glares at us with a sharp look in his eyes.

Rikiya Koyama, who has voiced Ma Dong-seok in many films including “Train to Busan” (2016), “The Outlaws” (22), and “No Way Out” (23), has been chosen to play the main character, the “monster detective” Ma Seok-to.
In addition, Sakurai Takahiro will play Baek Chang-gi, the leader of an IT crime organization and the most powerful villain in the series’ history, Sato Setuji will play the beloved character Jang Yi-su who is making his second comeback in the series, and Fukuyama Jun will play Jang Dong-chul, the series’ first brainy villain.
