A calm and collected strategist for the Runaways. He is a strategist who uses his vast knowledge of military strategy and his ability to analyze the battle situation to come up with precise strategies. He uses two swords and has high combat ability, so strong that he can defeat multiple adults by himself. He is also good at teaching people and seems flawless, but he is an incredibly big eater and is extremely weak when he is hungry.
Fubuki, who is still in his mid-teens, is a bundle of talent. The first thing to note is his ability as a military strategist. He calmly analyzes various factors such as the terrain, battle situation, number of soldiers, and individual abilities, and is able to create precise strategies. At times, he even comes up with solutions that surpass those of adults.
Next is combat. His fighting style combines two swords that he can manipulate quickly and freely with martial arts, and he can take on many people by himself. Even during combat, he keeps a cool head and carefully observes his opponent before striking their weak points.
Furthermore, he has the ability and insight to teach others, and is good at identifying people’s talents and teaching and nurturing them. Fubuki is truly a “capable man”… I can’t help but look forward to his future.
Looking at her abilities alone, Fubuki seems perfect, but she is an astonishingly big eater and her weakness is hunger. When she gets hungry, she loses her strength even on the battlefield and becomes exhausted. As a military strategist, she is constantly thinking, so she is quite slow on energy. However, there are many people who find the human side of Fubuki, who seems perfect, attractive.
He also has a strong emotional side, as he cannot resist a request from a child. Although he is calm, he is by no means cold-hearted, and contrary to his name, he is a warm-hearted person.
To scout out the suspicious movements of Ogasawara, the Towakutai head to Nakayamasho, the northern tip of the Suwa domain, which is on the border. There, Tokiyuki and his friends meet Fubuki, who tells them that a village on the border has been attacked by enemy soldiers many times and that all the adults have been killed. Fubuki happens to visit the village and learns that he has been working with the children left behind to protect it.
The Touwaku-tai prepares with Fubuki’s strategy to protect the village, which is likely to be attacked again soon. In the meantime, Tokiyuki receives swordsmanship training from Fubuki, who teaches him the technique of “Kishibu Butsou.” Meanwhile, Fubuki, who does not know Tokiyuki’s true identity, is drawn to his personality and the big secret he is hiding.
吹雪の予想通り翌日には敵の本軍が攻めてきたものの、彼の戦略が見事にはまり、兵は少数ながら防衛線を張ることに成功。さらに、敵幹部の3人を弧次郎、亜也子、吹雪で撃破し、時行は“鬼心仏刀”で見事に敵大将・瘴奸を下します。
無事村を守り切った時行は、吹雪に素性を明かし郎党に勧誘。天下を狙える主君を探していた吹雪は、予想の遥か上をいく時行の正体に驚愕しつつも、郎党として彼に仕え天下を目指すことを決めたのでした。
満を持して素性を明かした時行は、諏訪頼重とともに兵を率いて信濃を出発し鎌倉を目指します。順調に敵軍を撃破しながら進む北条軍は広い平地「小手指ヶ原」で、足利の大軍と会戦します。
敵軍の将・今川範満（いまがわのりみつ）は馬の力を驚異的に引き出し、圧倒的な機動力で戦場を駆け回り、進路の北条軍を蹴散らしていきます。味方の兵たちは化け物のような突撃に怯え、どんどん士気は下がる一方です。
そこで吹雪が出した策は、時行が馬に乗り今川の前を駆けるというもの。子どもである時行が大人用の名馬に乗れば体重が軽い分、今川とも張り合える速度が出せます。
今川の注意を時行に向かせて後を追わせることで、味方へ注意喚起が可能になり、さらに大将である時行が今川よりも速いことを印象付けることで、味方の士気は高まっていくのです。名付けて「士気獲競馬の計（しきどりけいばのけい）」！
戦場で突然始まった競馬に皆が注目する中、吹雪は玄蕃の変装を使って足利兵の集中を乱したり、今川に用意されている馬換え場を潰したりと策を畳みかけていきます。
換え馬を失った今川でしたが、さらに奥の手を使い時行に襲い掛かってきます。しかし、そこを叩いたのは吹雪。どこにでも助けに行けるよう競馬の進路の真ん中で準備をしていたのです。
吹雪は今川の脚と鞍を固定している紐を断ち切って、自在の騎乗を不可能にした後、そこにできた隙に必殺技「凶（さかさきょう※実際の字は“凶”が逆さ）」を打ち込みます。
吹雪の尽力により敵将を敗ったことで、北条軍の士気は一気に上昇し、そのまま勝利を収めたのでした。
時行の郎党となるまでは仕える主人を探して各地を放浪していた吹雪。その素性は足利方の下級武士の子だったのです。彼の武術も兵法も「足利学校」と呼ばれる武士養成所で学んだものでした。
吹雪は息子の出世に病的に執着する父によって、昼は学校へ行かされ、夜は鍛錬という名の酷い体罰を受け続けていたのです。とうとうその過酷すぎる生活に耐えられなくなった吹雪は、父を殺して出奔。しかし、1人になってからも天下を支えるという目標は捨てられず、才能を活かせる場所を探して彷徨っていたのでした。
時行と出会って厚い信頼を寄せられるほど、宿敵側の人間だったとは言い出せなくなった吹雪は、ずっと素性を隠し続けていたのでした。
素性を明かし謝罪を受けた時行は、彼を許しこれからも変わらず信頼することを約束します。時行の優しさと深く大きな懐に触れた吹雪は涙を流すのでした。
見事鎌倉奪還を果たした北条軍でしたが、時行が故郷を懐かしむ暇もなく足利軍に攻め入られます。北条軍は必死に抵抗し、一時は押し返すも宿敵・足利尊氏の人間離れしたカリスマ性に当てられ、味方の兵たちは次々に降参。
そして、吹雪も不可思議な尊氏の魅力に強く心を囚われてしまい、吸い寄せられるように自ら足利の元に行ってしまいます。引き留める時行の声は耳に届いておらず、瞳は焦点が合っていない状態です。
吹雪は他の降参兵よりも尊氏の力に強く当てられており、そうなる者は以前にもその力を浴びているか、心に強い飢えがあるのだと言います。足利学校時代に吹雪の才能に目をつけていた尊氏の執事・高師直は、「高師冬（こうのもろふゆ）」という名を吹雪に与え、自分の猶子として迎え入れます。こうして吹雪は時行の元を去ってしまったのでした。
吹雪を演じるのは戸谷菊之介さん。1998年11月30日生まれ。『チェンソーマン』のデンジ役をはじめ、『ウインドボーイズ！』の清嶋桜晴役など、数々の人気キャラクターを演じています。
